I usually don't watch anime that come out immediately because I dislike waiting for the next episode to air. Therefore, I most likely did not watch anything pertaining to this season so far or "new" anime that's been airing the past few months.

I typically watch completed anime not older than 2005 or english dubs from companies like funimation. In fact, I was a subscriber to the funimation website over the summer so I could enjoy the HD newly released dubs like legend of legendary heroes and shiki without having to wander through other ad-infested websites.

For japanese language anime, I look for categories that usually involve slice of life and romance, as well as others that won't be licensed. But yeah, I update MAL pretty frequently ;)
