I see you just added Cautious Hero to your PTW! It's a comedy spoof Isekai with this overpowered but REALLY cautious main character. In the first episode he uses a barrage of incredibly powerful top tier spells to destroy a level 1 slime LOL. He absolutely obliterates it the first time but keeps using MAXIMUM attacks just to make certain. Oh, and he thinks every time someone in the Isekai world talks to him there's some sinister intention behind it, and that everything he encounters (which is often harmless) is some kind of trick or trap LOL. The OP by Myth and Roid is a really cool song (and guitar riff) and the lyrics are made to fit the message of the series. It's not as good as Overlord but it does have some genuinely funny/amusing moments so you might like it, just don't expect it to be 'good' in a conventional way!

I really like Monster, it is number 2 on my favorites. I think it is in some ways better than Death Note, the ending especially. If Monster was more popular I would have compared it to B instead.

So, long story short, he is Shiro’s father and he is actually the reason for Shiro’s deeds. The sick fuck has been torturing her for so long that she developed that nasty personality, or alter ego that killed Ganta’s friends and destroyed his life. He, together with Ganta’s mother, researched the poor kid, Shiro. Shiro suffered so much that one day she decided to kill herself, which caused the great Tokyo earthquake. Back to Ganta’s mother topic. She together with that sick fuck experimented on Shiro only to find a way to heighten a person's immune system. Of course, as a scientist she was interested in the result of this experiment. But at some point, she understands how much pain she really caused Shiro and kills herself.

So Shiro’s dad reveals what a huge prick he is and after a long fight, he is killed by Ganta. However, Shiro still feels guilt for what she did to Ganta and wants to be killed by him. Ganta understands the whole situation they are both in and that the only person that should be dead is Shiro’s father, so he refuses to kill her. The final chapter ends showing us injured Shiro sleeping. It is unknown if she is dead. But the final page shows us that… https://i.imgur.com/x5RF1Uf.png

They just didn’t have enough money to make an okay anime adaptation. If you want to know more about the story-line, do read the manga adaptation. (It’s m-u-c-h better).
