Skim the first half and focus on the second half, and you'll definitely have a better experience at this show.
Of course, the off feeling in the first half is justifiable when the second half hits, but we should wait that long. This thing could even be just a movie or a few episodes OVAs with how much the actual plot are heavy loaded to the back end.
