My Scoring is Simple and quite literally what it says on MAL
Scores are frequently prone to change as i think and reflect on them. These are not perfectly thought out final scores to complete my analysis, they are reflections of where they comparatively place at this moment in time.
I will sometimes raise or lower a score based on how Objectively good I think a show is, I.e I liked it but i think it's poorly made, so lower the score, I didn't like it but not because it's bad but it's just not my thing so raise it.
10 - Masterpiece
While not necessarily flawless this is the pinnacle of what i expect from Anime, normally for the profound effect it had on me, sheer enjoyment and rewatchability or extemely well crafted experience.
9 - Great
Probably didn't quite float my boat as much as it could have. Well done and just not my thing in the way a 10 is, or my thing and not done as well as it could have. Either way an achievement and a work to strive to being for all future productions.
8 - Very Good
7-8 are just a two step quality distinction. A show is well done and explores it's themes well, it simply fails in some parts, enough to lower the entire rating of the show. Alternatively, the show had some extremely well done things that brought up the entire experience. Better versions of this distinction are 8, worse, 7.

6 - Fine
It was ok. The content had some interesting aspects, and held my interest reasonably well. Generally speaking Generic but well done will go here. If you have nothing new and are just re-hashed versions of previous shows, albeit done well, you're here. Alternatively, inherently unappealing personally albiet well done, or well done but with major issues.
5 - Average
The absolute minimum quality of an enjoyable show. This is the average show, anything below here is bad, not worth the time. Literally an inbetween slot. If you couldn't even do your basics to get a 6, but you weren't a negative experience either, you go here.
4 - Bad
3-4 are just a two step quality distinction. Poorly thought out story, poor dialogue, bad animation quality, lacklustre story, bad characters. Some of the above had to be done to get here. If you didn't completely screw up these aspects in every way, then you're here.
3 - Very Bad
And if you did, you're here.
2 - Horrible
At this point, we're not talking about failures of story telling, or anything. Your content is downright offensive. Whether you insult your viewers intelligence by expecting them to just not pay attention, force in tropes in order to get money, or otherwise write content that is an insult to expect the viewer to enjoy.
1 - Appalling
Probably the absolute of incoherent, generic and insulting content. I'm not sure the writer actually thought while they made this show.
