This is quite possibly THE worst anime I've ever seen. It doesn't have the worst animation in the world, and the opening theme is kinda cool, but aside from that, this show spits on its predecessor. And just when I thought the show couldn't get any dumber, it did.

Kimetsu no Yaiba is ultimate color by number shounen. There are no surprises, no twists, and nothing that breaks from the typical "kid fights demons" formula. The show is pretty, and is some of the best animation you can find. The animation makes the fights very enjoyable to look at. However, this is the series' one and only strength.
The story is utterly generic. Big bad kills hero's family. Hero wants revenge. That's the long and short of it. Apart from 1 demon late in the series, the villains are very shallow. One demon had a backstory that was supposed to be "tragic" but it ...

This anime is the most mediocre anime I have ever seen. It was as if it was it was created via machine learning. All the tropes of shounen and harem anime are there, but none of them are a novel or interesting rendition of these tropes. They're properly executed, but that's about it. The art is good, but nothing is particularly breathtaking. The characters are one-dimensional and have little to no motivation for the most part. The anime's weakest point, though, is the story.
