Oh yeah, there was something about aim assist in Strinova devs notes, so this game probably has it too now. I wonder if it's easier or more difficult than just using the mouse this way.

Yes, Strinova is something in the middle of Overwatch and Counter Strike. The characters are rather fragile (e.g. a shot in the head with a sniper rifle will kill the target), so the matches aren't boring or tedious. Unlocking characters here is quite easy too, but cosmetics are more difficult to get. For example, you get one gacha ticket every 5 levels of your account, which is quite a small number.

I tried Kingmaker when it was released, but ended up dropping it fairly soon. WOTR is more enjoyable.

Strinova is an anime shooter I wanted to have for many years haha. How does one play shooter games on PS5, though? Other than playing Sega Mega Drive when I was ~6-10 years old, I don't have any experience with gamepads, but I'd think it isn't very suitable for this genre.

Mine is probably Suguha (Leafa) too.

Yes, I made an account on Rankone, but I haven't been using it yet. If I'll ever finish setting my account, I'll send you a friend request there.
I'm currently playing Strinova, WOTR, Rance 4 and Episode 3 of The Coffin of Andy and Leyley. The only SAO game I've played is Fatal Bullet. Who are you favorite SAO characters?

Perhaps, I'll play Stellar Blade after it become available on Steam too. I'll probably have to upgrade my PC before that though.

That's nice to hear. Hopefully you'll enjoy these games.

To be honest I'm not familiar with modern MMORPGs, but what you described makes sense even from the business perspective - if new players were getting stomped by veterans it could probably drive them away since unlike olden days there are a lot of other options on the market nowadays.

Well, if I loved Persona world and its characters just as much as I love Kiseki, perhaps I'd have more fun with stuff like Tartarus.

I tired using Backloggd, but didn't like its UI and a lot of clutter in their database (the same games have different entries depending on their "edition", sometimes even DLCs are listed separately, etc.). Right now, I just put stuff in my MAL blog (the links are on my profile) - this one is for video-games, this one is for visual novels and this one is for gacha. Recently, I also added a log of stuff I play/watch; unfortunately, however, imgbb often fails to load my images and imgur outright deletes them for some arbitrary reasons, so I'm not sure if these links look like they are supposed. Rankone.Global looks better than Backloggd, but I'm not sure I'll be motivated to log in all my stuff from scratch again ha-ha.

It's always nice hearing about such communities. At the very least, it's much more wholesome compared to my experience with pvp in games like Perfect World where new players are constantly attacked and killed while doing quests/gathering resources. There was also the case with p2w imbalance, e.g. even though I've played the game for quite a long time, I still could be one-shot by whales who spend thousands of dollars on the game, so its pvp there wasn't exactly fun. In games like DS it's not an issue.

Yeah, Persona 5 is a great game, I had a lot of fun with it from start to finish. Can't say the same about 3 & 4 however - they were a mixed bag for me; I didn't enjoy exploring Tartarus in P3R at all for example. My favorite is Hifumi, even though she doesn't appear that much, but I agree with Mitsuru's pick for P3. I haven't played any other Persona-related games yet.

Reading you makes me think I might've missed some good experiences ignoring pvp in the Souls series and now, even if I had time to spare for that, it would be different since most of the players still playing would likely be veterans.

Since you like snowy locations, I guess you enjoyed Ymir in Cold Steel II as well? I think it was a very cozy town, wouldn't mind living there myself. But yes, I think I understand what you mean. One other thing I think was a little bit different in Dark Souls I is that even just traveling through certain locations was a journey in itself, e.g. overcoming Blighttown or Sen's Fortress with tons of places where you can fall to your death.

Looking at your avatar I'm curious, are you a Persona fan?
Shizuna Feb 19, 2:32 PM
By "pratin prize" you mean getting all the trophies/achievements on PS for a specific game, correct? I don't have much experience with consoles. The only one I owned and played was Sega Mega Drive when I was ~6-9 years old and after I was ~10 I've been using PC almost exclusively with some exceptions for mobile games here and there.

Well, I guess most players switched to Elden Ring/other Souls by now, so that's why not many play DSI as many years ago. By the way, what's you opinion on Dark Souls II?
Shizuna Feb 10, 11:15 AM
I've played Code Vein, actually, liked it less than Sekiro and DSI and DSII, but more than DSIII and Nioh.

In that case it'll be interesting to see how the new season's list will look like.
Shizuna Feb 8, 2:25 PM
Sekiro is among my favorite games, I like Dark Souls I and Dark Souls II too, but to a lesser degree compared to it. Wasn't much of a fan of Nioh and Dark Souls III, and as for Elden Ring my PC wasn't able to properly run it so I'm yet to experience it.

Oh, I see. I suppose the girls listed there are your favorites from the Fall 2024 season or something like that?
Shizuna Feb 8, 9:43 AM
Are there any other games/series you're a fan of?

By the way, if you don't mind me asking, what is "Girls Fall Cry 2024"?
Shizuna Feb 6, 8:19 AM
Hmm, from the classic series I like Chihaya the most, I think she's the best singer in the whole series. Chiyuki is my favorite from Shiny Colors too. For Cinderella Girls it's Minami and for Theater Days Kaori.
Looks like we have quite a lot of interests in common.

I randomly stumbled upon Sky FC while browsing Steam in Spring 2017, decided to give it a try without expecting anything, but ended up loving it so much it's been my favorite thing ever since.

Idolmaster is nice too, its music is awesome. Who are some of your favorite characters?
Shizuna Feb 6, 2:35 AM
Thank you! I don't know about Aidios, but Shizuna already guides me :P

Ys I & II, The Ark of Napishtim and The Oath in Felghana. I've started playing Origin too some time ago, but got sidetracked by other things. Adol is such a cool protagonist, like a hero from Greek mythology. I still like Rean more, however.
Shizuna Feb 5, 1:53 AM
I agree, Tio and Randy were awesome and SSS in general is one of the better main parties in the series as far as character interactions go. However, up until I played Cold Steel IV, my favorite game used to be Cold Steel I. I really loved the charming student life Rean has been living through and that ending was completely unexpected. Now I'd say Kuro II is the best for me, but I can easily see Kai replace it as the number one once I'm done with it.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
