I loved this manga when it first started out. It looked alot like Oda's style so I read it and thought it was superb. As I continued on and on, I realized this manga is almost if not literally a copy of One Piece.
That pissed me off to the point where I don't even want to read it anymore.
Some of the people who didn't like One Piece as much would probably love this manga though, since they wouldn't know the similarities between One Piece and Fairy Tail.
I, struggled to continue reading this. It's really hard for me to control this inner rage I have towards
Hiro as he continues to ever so gracefully copy most of Oda's wonderful arcs.
But I do have to admit, Hiro is creative with the designs and characters. But thats probably it, otherwise, it's a replica of One Piece.
Enough about that.
It has a decent plot that follows a girl name Lucy who wants to be a mage and join Fairy Tail. She meets someone who has the potential to let her join Fairy Tail and that is Natsu. Natsu is this boy with pink hair who has a personality like Luffy's. He fights with flames and loves to eat flames. He got Lucy to join Fairy tail. And as the story goes on, she meets all the other members of fairy tail and go on missions provided by the guild.
I love the art. It's wonderful in many aspects. The backgrounds and style is pretty good.
O..my god. The characters are actually quite decent but they srsly follow the formula of the Strawhat pirate personality with a little change this and there but you can obviously see the similarities. Characters are not original what-so-ever, this add to why I dislike Hiro&Fairy Tail.
It was actually quite entertaining reading this manga from the beginning. It started off very nice. The rest are quite unique but than yeah, I keep seeing these One Piece deja vu. I enjoyed it's comedy and at the same time, despise it since it is similar to One Piece's. I don't even know why this Hiro guy has to copy that too, I'm pretty sure he has his own style in drawing AND story telling right?!
It is good, recommended for all people. But this is just not my cup of tea. As much as I love his other works, this is way too much of a copy to make me like it. How it got so high up in manga ranking is still a mystery to me.
