You missed the whole point. Do you not find it hypocritical that the comments of people here are:

But no one cares about the guy who gave it a 10/10 just from the first episode? It's right below his review and no one cares about it. Why aren't these people doing that for those reviews? The reason I don't comment on the guy with 10/10 review because I don't care what this random person on the Internet thinks of this show. And the people who leave all these comments basically harassing this guy here shouldn't either. You think I want to comment "Uhh you're stupid cuz u gave this show a 10/10". Hell no!!

Even though I agree with your words, considering that even japanese audience rates this show one of the lowest of this season, yet overseas it's hype is INSANE. I still think it's a bit too early to rate it, maybe the full picture isn't that bad at all.
I disagree with your review, but it's definitely true that when a show has pretty colors, people will call it a masterpiece no matter how bad the writing is. I like it so far, but we've seen this type of story before. I'm interested in seeing how well Violet's character is executed because it's not new. I think it's weird to hate on this particular show and act like you saw all the episodes, after the first episode, but that's just how you work I guess.
I just wanna say it is okay to dislike a show, but your reasoning on disliking the show basically are very flawed.
First, yes it is the most hyped show of the season and it probably created too much of it to the point where people who doesn't really enjoy this type of anime like yourself is drawn to it.
Second, I think your assumptions that most people who have rated this series at this point are die-hard source reader fans is wrong. From my knowledge, I think only a very few number of people have read the novel.
Third, you are just too harsh with the show. A polished turd is still a turd? That's just your opinion man. Tbh, your review imo is full of condescending and catchphrases usually used by to bash a show. I'm sorry if you don't intend it that way, but try to be more careful and selective with your words even if you dislike something
Fourth, what makes you think and what supporting facts do you have to support your claim that many people see Violet as waifu material? Even if that exist, only a very small number of people think that from my observation. and again what makes you think that people view Violet character as masterful? Most people definitely sees Violet character as character full of weaknesses but full of potential to grow as well. I think you are dreaming here or just simply want to believe that people sees her that way (the way you stated in your review) in order to gratify yourself for not liking the show.
Fifth, you underestimated the fact that Violet is not just any character who suffered for war, but a character which has unique experiences other characters might not experience and that contributes to her current self. Is it that difficult to see? I don't think so. and again what is your description of personality exactly? I'm genuinely curious, because many people nowadays just labeled a character as a character with no personality just because they dislike the personality of the character. Not because the character has no personality. Can you differentiate that? From my pov, you just dislike Violet as a character who is rigid, has no understanding of many emotions, etc. Think again, that is different from having no personality right?
Sixth, I just think you concluded too much from the first episode.
All in all, I don't mind if you dislike the show, but your review is just bad especially because of the bad choice of words, insults given to the show and last but not least there are many assumptions you made that are just plain wrong. Sorry if I've said too much, but I'm just very tired with this kind of review people made nowadays which is usually doesn't have constructive criticism and just tried too bash a show the reviewer dislikes without realizing that the way they review the show is just a form of self-gratification.

Your Violet Evergarden review is pretty solid - your 'a polished turd is still a turd' comment really could apply to also sorts of pretty-but-not-actually-good anime. But you might want to remove any mention of 'hype' - people won't read any further, dismiss you as anti-hype, and then give you shit in the comments.

2 episodes and nothing that really matters or can change the direction of the plot happened, it will be a boring slice of life of people at the workplace with exagerated drama, like other KyoAni series.
