Who's your favorite psychopath?
Snake_tartare May 13, 2013 7:26 AM
Hi, how are you doing? Have you read anymore Fahrenheit 451?
Chakaara May 7, 2013 11:35 AM
In fact, i'm not a sociopath.

Not at all really, I think I love someone, that would make me clear of all charges.
TheOttocrat May 6, 2013 4:38 PM
School did bore me, yes, but it was the cannabis that made me apathetic during my school years. After getting by my first few years without studying I must have thought the highers would be the same. I ended up developing depression from the cannabis, from the pressure of the schoolwork and how I was expected to achieve. I mixed in with the wrong crowds at school, too.

I'm doing fairly well now. I've got my head together and am looking forward to applying for college next year.

I have been beating myself up lately since reading that article as I didn't know whether my IQ had been decreased due to smoking cannabis in my early to mid teens. I think it's sunk in now, though.

I was foolish and easily misled, evidently. Sure I can point the finger at my parents for not sending me to a private school or blame any conditions I had that could have influenced my judgment but it's all in the past now. I only plan on moving forward from now onward.

In a way it may have been better to experiment with drugs then than now because now that I've done it I can dedicate myself to my tasks without getting sidetracked by such. But that is heavily outweighed by the fact that smoking cannabis as an adult does not cause permanent cognitive damage.

Hey, don't mention it. These are exciting times for you. A small thing like replying to me can wait, naturally, no worries there.

So have you been having fun with your friend then, yeah?

*cough*

Anarchism is a fools advocacy. Mankind in conflicting by nature. Without the states reigns the people would be left to run amuck. I don't believe Britain or America or indeed the majority of this world assigns enough power to the state. Just look at where this so called freedom has gotten us. When Britain stood at the top of the world why didn't it continue with its conquest I ask. I believe in a world government. I believe in power over man to cease all major conflicts. I also believe in equality. That statement alone might be misleading. I by no means believe everyone is equal. I believe in equal opportunity. In my ideal world all nations would be obsolete and we would share resources equally between black man, Jew, gentile, white. I would like to eradicate illogical prejudice. In my ideal world humans follow logic and strive for objectivity, seconding over-morality and unnecessary sentiments that conflict with objectivity. And providing true knowledge for every man and woman. I despise the deception of democracy and the egoism which pervades in our society. Each man and woman works for each other and knows exactly what he lives under, he knows the maxims and axioms that he should despite differences in intelligence.
People would be free to choose their sexualities and gender without restriction, as gender and sex are social constructs and thus it is illogical to perpetuate this type of prejudice.
Mankind would strive for power, we would focus on migrating into the stars and our conquests there. Sacrifices would be made in order to further objectives. I would endorse killing off people, or stopping births of people with downsyndrome or similar, or managing our population and decreasing it by any means necessary that would not have negative consequences against humanities objectives, after all, population control is one of our foremost problems, we simply do not have the resources to supply for such an increasing population.
Humanities objective is survival, then power to actualize truth. Since life is meaningless otherwise, we must attain higher truth outside of our current conceptualization.
Even if all creatures die, that is just a probability if we will find the answers before we get destroyed by external forces or self destruct ourselves. Which is where the current world is heading. How long do people seriously think we can avoid world war three? Many people will just pray to our diplomacy and say "who cares, we'll be dead by then, right?" That attitude disgusts me.
If the world is heading for self destruction in its current form then we need less freedom to do so and more means of preventing it; more control. World war three would eventuate into a nuclear war regardless of how it started and that would spell the end, after all, it'd be a game of consequences once one nuke is fired, the other responds, etc.

That is a relatively small myriad of things I have discussed thus far but it is still only a part of the wide plethora of things my views encapsulates. I think my last point there answers your question quite nicely on what I think of anarchism and if it's applicable.
Chakaara May 3, 2013 2:37 AM
Yeah ?
Well let's say my definition is different, as it is for everything else.

You know when you say that, you're making me worry again :/
MellowJello May 2, 2013 11:18 PM
Hey, thanks for the comment! Hearing things like that is always makes me feel good~
FullmetalRaikou May 2, 2013 5:02 PM
Just don't like the designs in general, its the same style as Hitman Reborn. Good manga but the art style really bugged me. Something about certain characters having baby faces kinda freaked me out. Currently finishing Higurashi, after that I'll watch the rest of the series really want to find out how it plays out.
Chakaara May 2, 2013 1:59 PM
See, I kind of disagree.
Sociopath means no emotions, and most of us are able to express them, so that wouldn't be true.
Psychopath would be a better term because we all have our different and strong feelings which sometimes are hard. Like when you think about someone dying in horrible ways (yes I have these thoughts often...).
FullmetalRaikou May 2, 2013 11:41 AM
You are right! I've watched about 13 episodes or so, its pretty good. I love how twisted the antagonist is, only thing that kinda bugs me is the character design. Other than that Its a great show. Just haven't had the time to finish it.
TheOttocrat May 2, 2013 10:51 AM
Medicine is certainly a good course. It is considered the apex alongside Law, Math and Physics. I hope you can do that. If lots of people are going for it you just need to push ahead of the pack, prove you're the best and study as much as possible, that is all and that's all you can do. I think you're an intelligent individual so I'm sure you'll actualize your dreams.

With that said, Biology and Psychology aren't bad choices either. My advice is to just do whatever makes you happy unless happiness is second to something else to you, in which case strive for your objectives and don't let up.

As for me I'd like to be studying Math and Philosophy at Oxford in a few years time. Since Math is the hardest I want to test my limitations and gain the respect from the qualification. I'd like to go on to be an Academic there, doing perennial study in a bunch of different subjects in my time, if possible.

I've made a lot of mistakes in my life up until now. I didn't finish high-school and up until a year ago it never sunk in how I wasted such a glorious opportunity to succeed when I could. Now I'll have to do two years of British College first with my highers and advanced highers.

If dropping out of school wasn't the pinnacle of my mistakes then it was surely smoking cannabis. God, I was such a fool. I read in a recent article that it reduces your IQ by an average of ten points if smoked heavily throughout adolescence. I likely suffered the consequences of cognitive impairment.

I think even though I've hindered my full potential a current IQ of 131 should suffice for my ambitions. I recently got tested, you see. In any case, I've matured early from my experiences and gotten wiser through it so I'm not entirely regretful.

I wanted to share that with you since you asked about my ambitions. As perfectionistic as I may be I am certainly not perfect.

Anyway! Look forward to LoGH, as I will to continuing Monster!

As for the discussion I mentioned before, there are a few things I could bring up for discussion but why don't you tell me some more of your interests first, and if there's anything you'd like to talk about, then just ask away!

Regarding my witty remark? Sad to say, but that's long gone. However I have the tendency to come up with one rather quickly.

It's certainly not a charming trait, which is already obvious. Though I wouldn't be so drastic about changing it. Just keep it as a reminder, as to how imperfect you really are. After you've acknowledged that, we'll be perfect for each other (Thus ready to marry)
Daddy May 1, 2013 8:21 AM
As a matter of fact, yes.

Well, you gave me the perfect opening to make a silly (and a bit racist) witty remark. However as you rightfully admitted defeat, I will hold back this extreme urge.

Because I say so.

all good
so long as i was somewhat correct
Snake_tartare Apr 30, 2013 2:28 PM
Totally worth it. I read it on holiday and couldn't put the thing down. I won't spoil anything for you.

Well, I'm done with my essays now, so things are looking up.

Ohhh, good question! Personally...it's a rather tough choice between the two. Kogami I liked as a character since he decided to really go down his path (at some point in the series, I was wondering if any of the enforcers would deviate from the police force), thankfully, Kogami was the one of the ones to do so; key character development I liked. However of course, that couldn't had happened without Makishima being in the way. The way I saw it, they both had that "this city ain't big enough for the two of us" type of mentality. Makishima, himself, really blew me away for being a villain that actually had it 'right' in his motives (of course if one does not support a dystopia disguised as an utopia). If I were to criticize his character though, it would be along the lines of.... pretentious? I felt his frequent quotes from novels, while somewhat applicable to some scenes, was a bit overused. I mean does one really carry a book wherever they go while constructing meticulous plans?
Other than that, I loved the tension he brought upon the cast.

I slightly favor Kogami over Makishima though, but again, it's close!
It’s time to ditch the text file.
