1 Appalling: ... PHYSICAL DISCOMFORT/PAIN, a show like this should have never, EVER be watched by anyone, unless you wanna feel like you wanna die. Shows like these tend to not only insult you, but actively make you think that anime was indeed a mistake.
2 Very Bad: Bad but with no redeeming qualities whatsoever, likely extremely insulting even for the most patient people, and the only thing separating it from the lowest of the anime trash can being physical discomfort.
3 Bad: A shitty show with no taste and only one redeeming quality AT BEST. Usually an insulting show with interchangeable characters from similar shows and a forgettable story. Unrecomendable.
4 Mediocre: A Below average show that failed in most of everything but usually had a redeeming quality that made it stand out from the shows below it. Would only recommend it to people i know personally.
5 Average: A show that failed to resonate with me for reasons plot or character related. Only recommendable genre fans. Anything below is a waste of your time. Forgettable.
6 Pretty Good: An above average show that didn't stand out in any particular way but wasn't disappointing either, these are mildly entertaining shows that can use up your time. Usually have some very interesting atributtes, ideas or themes that it doesnt explore that much.
7 Good: A good show with good characters and an interesting plot that just didn't quite cut it in one category or more, or just failed to resonate with me for some reason. Very reccomendable.
8 Great: An amazing show that got me very invested in the characters but didn't quite make it in one certain category. My 9 and 8 rating is also decided by: "Would i add this to my favorites? If yes i rate it as a 9, if not then its an 8.". Very reccomendable.
9 Excellent: An extremely enjoyable and entertaining show, genre-defining. Must watches.
10 Masterpiece: The best of the best, absolute must watches, medium-transcendent media.
- No Score: If an anime is unrated that means that i rate it as i rated the rest of the franchise (eg: Code Geass R1 and R2 i consider both a 7 and since R2 is a direct sequel i didn't rate it; This doesn't apply for stuff like Ghost in the shell 1995 and Stand alone complex but does apply for both seasons of Stand alone complex and the OVA; eg2: Bakemonogatari and its franchise is rated solely by Bake's score, otherwise i would have to add 9+ things to the 10 rating making it less objective of a rating). This makes it easier to distinguish franchises and prevents cluttering scores.
The number of favorites i have corresponds to about 10% of my completed anime.
Anime in my top 10% are picked from my 10s and 9s, and are identified by the tag [10%].
