Oh so it wasn't an OVA but some one-shot chapter, maybe? The only ones I know are the Los Angeles BB Murder Case light novel and then the sequel one-shot, like I mentioned.

Anyway, I've gotten someone new to watch Death Note as well, so regardless of it's treatment past the original, it is still a great show to expose people to.

Which OVA was that? The Rewrite version? If you don't really remember it, then it is probably that since it was just a retelling with many lost plotpoints XD

So far I've been alright. Covid scenario is throwing work around a lot, but at least I'm still healthy, so I won't complain. I hope for the same on your side.

Yeah. I still think the last bit with Near and Mello has some parts that are pretty hype. The soundtrack obviously still remains amazing and I feel like the visuals are also better than they were in the Yotsuba arc. But through this rewatch I'll be getting to a point soon where I know something specific is going to annoy me XD So as much as I think the final arc has some redeeming qualities, it's still disappointing that it lost so much of its charm.

Did you read other Death Note material like the Los Angeles BB Murder Case or the One-shot sequel? If so, what did you think of them?
