Season 2 and 3 in particular were amazing and peak sports anime for me.
I haven't watched the season after, 'To the Top', yet so I'll just pick up the manga from where S3 ended. Or do you recommend To the Top? I see it's in your favourites category but do you think the manga handled that arc better?
I was also in your exact situation in the summer of 2022 so I can relate to being impatient for new the WEBTOON chapters :)
In a grossly reductive way, my experience with ORV was nothing I'd ever had the pleasure of journeying through before so I felt bound to write a review to convince people, such as yourself, to read it.
The problem was that there was so much to include I just didn't know how to shorten it down!
Unfortunately I don't have the time, talent or passion to write a detailed review for every piece of media I fall in love with, but as for recommendations, I can help you there.
Ping Pong, which you could either watch or read, and The Horizon are both short reads with the latter even being under 20 chapters but manages to tackle many themes and ideas in its short lifespan. The same is partially true for the former albeit with a slightly different message.
Is there anything you'd recommend to me? I'm currently in a bit of a burnout phase but I'll eventually get around to giving it a go.
Apologies for the long reply, happy reading!
I'm assuming you read my ORV review and it struck a chord with you ?
