Hello and welcome to my profile page!

I've been an active anime watcher since 2008, starting out with whatever was being shown on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block. The first series I watched as it was airing in Japan was Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - and I later started following other shows as they aired starting in 2013 or so. Since then, my interest has expanded to include a plentiful amount of old-school pre-2000s anime alongside more modern series.

Over on /r/anime I go by the username pterynxli, and am mostly active in anime discussions there rather than here. But feel free to browse through my growing amount of MAL recommendation posts for similar anime and manga.

Some minor notes: my list could be considered "inflated" by all the shorts and music videos included. I prefer to classify the shows I've stopped watching as on-hold rather than dropped, as it's always possible I'll resume watching them at any given time. And the rating criteria behind my scores varies depending on the title.
