I understand what you mean. I don't usually actively seek out friends on MAL, so I don't run into a lot of the types that you mentioned, but I get what you're saying. And you're right: my favorites are my genuine favorites, though they may change from time to time depending on my mood. :) I really respect that you try to watch a diverse range of anime, and especially before you can form preconceptions about them based on others' thoughts. I try to do the same thing. For example, I never check out the list of upcoming anime each season. Instead, I watch all the ep1's and most of the ep2's (at least). I don't want to look at the list and be like "Ah, that doesn't sound very good" and totally miss out on something that I might have liked (I almost missed Shin Sekai yori and Psycho-Pass because of that, but eventually convinced myself to watch them and SO glad I did since they became two of my favorites). Anyway. it sounds like we have a similar style when it comes to watching anime.

I mostly visit two sites (GogoAnime and MyReadingManga), though Gogo isn't my primary means of watching anime so I don't comment a lot. But since you also like traps and so forth, you might like my recommendations from MyReadingManga. ;-)

lol, I like the way you phrased that. Especially the part about incest and traps. 😋 (I totally don't remember what I wrote about Aki-Sora, though, so I'll have to go back and read it.) Although I've seen a lot of anime, you have a lot of favorites on your list that I haven't seen. I'll watch most anything that isn't shit. You have some pretty diverse tastes huh... from Haibane Renme to Cross Ange. Again, nice to meet ya.

Not sure what you found interesting enough about my profile to send a friend req, but sure. Pleased to meet you. I also like Ararararararagi a lot too, and having characters from Shin Sekai yori and Bounen no Xamdou on your favorites is enough to make me like ya. 😉
