Greetings PalpableEmoji, I saw that you were watching a few seasonal shows.
We have entered the finale of the season and at the Anime Guild our main specialization is being a Seasonal Club.
We choose the best Opening, Ending, Character and of course Anime of the Season with also a Review Section and a Power Ranking Group.
If that seems appealing to you, we currently are featuring our Ending competition and Sign-ups for the Review Event is Open.
I have already sent an invite as well as provide a link to our club ^.^ -

Hello!!! Hey hey hey!!!!!! sorry for the late reply!!! (;゜○゜)
Yesssss!!!!!! Nujabes!!!! I actually watched Samurai Champloo because I knew he composed music for this anime and to be honest, I'm really glad I watched it because I loved it. I love Nujabes a lot and I love listening to all his albums so so much (゚∀゚ ) he was great, definitely one of my favorite artists ever ( ̄^ ̄゜)

Ishida-sensei!! I agree!! he is such a great mangaka, he is so smart and the way everything in this manga seems to be planned perfectly, I seriously admire this man, so so much.
From the art style to the plot and character development, TG is one of the best things I've ever read, I'm sure a lot of people would disagree but this is what I firmly believe! (•̀o•́)ง I still need to catch up with the latest chapters but I will hopefully do it soon. I worry about Ishida-sensei sometimes tbh hahahaha ´・_・` not just because of the way his "fans" treat him, but also because I'm sure he doesn't get enough sleep and rest, I know this is a weird think to worry about but hahahahaha he should really care about himself too, he keeps drawing and doing so many things at once that I worry about him.

I absolutely believe I will also like Oyasumi Punpun, it's something I 've been wanting to read for a loooong time now but sadly I always procrastinate doing (・~・`)
I'm completely okay with the art style and birds, I read another manga by Asano-sensei not so long ago and I completely loved the way he draws the characters and scenery and everything, it looks amazing.
Oyasumi Punpun is a heavy manga, yup, I've heard that and that makes me want to read it even more, hopefully, I'll read it one of these days ヽ(´ー`)ノ I'm quite sure I will get out something good of this manga, just like you!

Mushishi is a quite special anime to me. I'm sure that now that you appreciate a little bit more slow anime, you'll love Mushishi. Every single thing about this anime is great and I really hope you like it. Not everyone enjoys this anime, but people who do, completely love it.
Kyousougiga is a kinda unknown anime sadly (๑′▵‵ ๑) the story is REALLY confusing, even more than Kekkai Sensen's story (hahahaha don't worry, I won't kill you, everyone has their own anime tastes), in Kyousougiga you have 3 different time periods (past, present, and future) and they all try to tell the story of why a girl is looking for a certain rabbit, the thing is that you have all 3 time periods trying to tell their stories at basically the same time, so it gets pretty confusing each episode. The show is full of action scenes and colors everywhere and explosions and it's really fun (•̀ㅂ•́๑)
Something that you should know about Kyousougiga is that it was directed by the same person who directed Kekkai Sensen, Matsumoto Rie, so maybe you would find certain similarities between the 2, but I still think you could give this anime a chance.

Yup, I like Miyazaki's films a lot. I've seen a lot of Ghibli films, I think, and I always end up loving most of them hahahaha.
Ohhhhhh Grave of the Fireflies, that was a really sad movie, I watched it when I was around 16 and it was devastating, I remember feeling sad even after a week of watching it hahahaha, movies like that are pretty good tbh.

I like the fact that we think in similar ways about things ehehehe (*´ω`*) that explains why we have similar tastes!
korogoro Dec 7, 2016 7:19 AM
ohhhhh, I like your favorites! (*゚ロ゚) I love some of them too, like the Tatami Galaxy and Samurai Champloo. And yes, I 10000% agree, TG's manga is one of my favorites ever ( ̄^ ̄ ). We do have similar tastes hahaha.
I really really want to read Oyasumi PunPun but I just..... never do it, I don't know why hahaha (゚ ペ )
Well, as for me and my favorites, my top 3 anime ever are Mushishi, Kyousougiga and Kekkai sensen, but some other of my favs are: Black Cat, Arakawa Under The Bridge, Blood+, Space Dandy, Tsuritama, Ping Pong and a ton more.
and Movies: Howl's Moving Castle, Colorful and Millennium Actress (•̀ㅂ•́๑)

I believe my list is updated, recently finished Stiens;Gate with one of my friends, and we're about to pick back up the English-Dubbed version of Ghost Stories (recommended).

I am curious if we would have similar tastes in similar shows too. I like just about anything when it's done well. Generally, I do enjoy the mecha, psychological, drama, romance genres. But what I really like is great direction, meaningful cinematography,thoughtful/philosophical stories, and/or impressive characters. I've been usually pleased with anime as a medium ever since I first began watching regularly, as it has consistently impressed me in these area that live-action films rarely match up to (except art-house or other impressive films that come along every so often). And on top of that, it's animation, so the amount of creativity is also unprecedented. That, and I've been a huge animation fan ever since I was a child growing up with Disney and other animated films.

And I usually don't play PC, mostly PS4 if I get the time. I'm actually hoping to become a Game Designer in the near future. The game I'm most looking forward to is The Last Guardian, and as of recently, The Last of Us Part II.

And I'm sorry to rain on Aldnoah.Zero's parade, I just wanted to give out a helpful sign. But again, to each there own, you might like it more than I do, so give it a shot if you're curious. You might find the characters/setting/themes/plot more engaging or relate-able.
