  Rating scale rundown: 10 - Masterpiece and a forever classic, a show that will be enjoyed by generations of anime viewers to come. I've probably seen this show multiple times. 9 - So close to perfect, usually one nagging feature about the show. This category is still essential viewing. 8 - Shows that stand a head above the rest of the decent shows that come out every season and are generally the best of the bunch each year, or went well beyond expectations. 7 - A decent show, usually par for the course. Good pick to pass the time for a given season, very enjoyable while watching them but can't stack up when compared to the greats. I probably wouldn't ever recommend a show to someone below this category. 6 - Typical average show that does nothing special. Shows that I'm glad I watched once but I probably will never watch again. 5 - Disappointments. Shows I was initially interested in but fall apart for some reason and I finished the story for the sake of it. 4 - These shows are bad, but maybe have 1 or 2 redeeming qualities about them. These kind of shows are a grind to finish. 3 - This is trash tier, shit so bad that its basically unwatchable for (almost) anyone, but not quite enough to make you physically ill. 2 - If anything lands here, it should never have existed in the first place. What were they THINKING?! 1 - Now this tier is where god-awful shows go to die, and then are reborn as meme legends. This is where you'll find the "it's so bad it's funny" shows. *If I have any particular preference it's bat-shit crazy shows (FLCL, Kill la Kill, Diebuster, etc.), which is also why Trigger is my favorite studio, with Shaft close behind.
