Hey there! Saw you ask for something not "too emotional/sad" as to not make you cry (I get quite sentimental with some shows/scenes myself ;-;), so I tried looking for something sweet, emotional, yet not borderline-tearjerking - maybe check out some of these, they're really wholesome:
- Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!
- Machikado Mazoku
- Mikakunin de Shinkoukei
- Somali to Mori no Kamisama

Oh by the way, since your profile Bio says you particularly like Science-Fiction/Psychological, I highly recommend you watch Steins;Gate! The characters and story have a slow buildup, with high pay-off which makes you feel for both greatly. It has its fair share of emotional/sad moments, but I truly think it's a masterpiece (It does have a happy ending)!
