I am a young adult who likes from time to time reading manga/watching anime (the biggest reason I joined the MAL community). Considering my age, I really would prefer not watching shows or reading comics involving young children as it doesn't really relate to how children go through their own adolescence or early childhood. I also don't like shounen animes/mangas too much as it seems to be the work of witches and warlocks. They just seem fabricated to increase their wallets while sucking the wallets of youth with disposable income. I also look for fulfillment out of my viewing/reading experiences and to be honest (not to bash too many franchises) I see alot of GARBAGE in the world of Japanese anime. I believe when something's being overstretched or elongated to the point of boredom that the creators/producers/investors/mangakas should END the story. If feasible, I do like the larger characters in many stories as I'm not a small person myself. My favourite character persona would entail someone who's either a dark, brooding hero or a hero that has a mildly-wavering oversight of what's wrong or right. I would like to mention Scar from FMA and Takaya/Nick from Tekkaman Blade/Teknoman as they are most likely my favourite characters. Scar is definitely a dark, brooding hero as he has self-righteous views of revenge but carries out his actions with good will such as voicing a prayer to those he kills of good will. Takaya is a bold, courageous human gifted with superhuman powers ONLY to defend the Earth against his former FAMILY and FRIENDS who have unfortunately been assimilated in to a intergalatic race who's got their eyes on Earth's fertile sourcing of life.
