Oh yeah, what do you make of Taimadou Gakuen? Interesting story? I was thinking of watching it and I like the … well, the look of the Soviet-style uniforms anyway.

Well the NGE manga is official, and it's by the character designer, but it has some differences in the story and an alternate ending, so it's worth reading from the beginning, or at least from about the fourth volume.

Hmm, I might pick up Sakurako then. Are there a lot of bones? I like bones. ಠ‿ಠ As for Rakudai, I've only heard about it being yet another magic school LN adaptation among about 4 other shows this season, from which Taimadou sounded more appealing.

I'll have to start on the new Lupin III; I bet you'll like Lupin III: Cagliostro no Shiro, it's a movie Hayao Miyazaki directed in 1979, his first movie and one of his best. I'm currently watching the original Lupin III series in fact, but I wouldn't recommend it very strongly.

Looks like you weren't so crazy about the best anime ever ;) Evangelion? I didn't find it that hard to understand (unlike, say, Satoshi Kon's stuff), but everyone else seems to. Also, if you liked some things about it but don't think you'll ever be able to wrap your head around the original anime, try the manga some time. It's a clearer story, and has a very different, satisfactory ending, that still is in the spirit of the original. People with your complaints seem to see the series in a new light from the manga often enough.

Anyway, are any of the series this season worth watching?
