Rewrite (Anime) add (All reviews)
You know what could have saved this series? A “Rewrite”.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

… Yeah, I know, lame joke. Plus it's not like it's true either. After all, this project was without a doubt doomed from the very beginning.

So, here's the deal: Adaptations are made with different goals in mind. Sometimes, when light shines down from the heavens, the creators of the original work get together with a crew of talented animators and a passionate production team (writer, director, sound director etc.) that have a vision in mind of what the project should be like in order for us to end up with the best animated version that is read more

Originality is overrated.

There, I said it. It's about time that somebody did so. Why? Because I'm honestly tired of seeing reviews for this type of show that have a rating of 2 or 3 attached to them, simply because the series isn't „original“ and the author has seen something like it before. Now, how is that a legitimate point of complaint?
Maybe it's because I have seen more Anime than the average viewer, but I actually like getting what I know I'll like. Not only is „true originality“ hard to come by since most things have been done, but common business knowledge dictates that most innovations read more

Disclaimer: This will be a relatively short and spoiler-free review. Take it as a recommendation on whether or not you should go and see the movie in the theater, listing most of the positive/negative points, and not an in-depth analysis.

"I think it's about time I talked about Kiss-Shot-Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade.“ Yeah, it's about fucking time alright, we have only been waiting for about four years.

I still can't quite believe that I had the honour of watching the first part to Kizumonogatari in the theater today, seeing how this particular movie has become somewhat infamous among the Anime community for always staying somewhere on the horizon without read more

Another spin-off? Oh boy! Those never disappoint.

What is the point of a spin-off that revolves around a former side character anyway? Well, common knowledge would suggest that it is a chance to explore different aspects of an already familiar concept by pushing a character that used to be just another part of an ensemble into the spotlight and building a show around him or her. Thus, let us answer the most important question of this review right off the bat: Do I think that Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu (or Yuki-chan as I'll be calling it from here on out) is a good spin-off? No, absolutely read more

Now, before I start this very long and in-depth review, I'd like to say three things.

1. As opposed to other people, I actually consider 6/10 to be a decent score. It doesn't mean that I thought that this was a bad show, it's without a doubt decent entertainment. I put a lot of effort into writing this review, so even though my opinion may not be the most popular one out there, you should at least give it a shot and listen to what I have to say.
2. I have read the entire Fate/stay night Visual Novel and am quite familiar with the Nasuverse read more

Preliminary
One Piece, a title that could probably not be any more unfitting since anybody who tried watching this show in one sitting should most definitely be comitted to an insane assylum. This thing is huge! At the time that I am writing (updating) this review One Piece has had 702 episodes. Going with an average episode length of 24 minutes, this adds up to 16848 minutes of One Piece or 280.8 hours of One Piece or roughly 11.7 days (!) of One Piece. Which makes you wonder how anybody could have even watched all of it. But then again, it is a show that started read more
