I'm not a big fan of SAO. I like the idea and premise even though it has been done before, but this series shows that its not a premise that makes the show. I'll say that when I first started SAO it started alright, I was even hype. But as I continued watching, I noticed how many things bad happening just because, and not in the way of it just being a mistake, but that of being completely unreasonable like people choosing to die for no reason other than the show wanting to just have someone die. Though I could talk about talk about how read more

Mnemosyne: Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi a title in which I must copy and paste, is a surprise series that still has me questioning a few things. Primarily what. from start to finish, this is a vague show that while it answers what it needs to, it never answers anymore which had me almost begging for what I wanted to know. It also has time skips every episode and I tend to hate them. Here they feel well placed and gives an extra sense of repetition. There is one thing I can see people disliking and that's the heavy presence of sexual acts, forced bdsm, and themes read more

To get this right out, this is a series most likely to never get completed, not due to overabundance of episodes but because the studio that had the rights to it, went out of business so I'll say for that reason, this anime is kinda a pass. It had promise, had a good bit of world building, decent characters, and a cool story. There are a few things one can complain about like how there are parts of it that are predictable and the protagonist complains a bit but without a finished product I feel I can't fairly judge it. Would I recommend it? I read more

I started this manga a long while ago right as it got cancelled. So when I heard that there was an anime adaptation coming out to finish the story, I was excited. The manga was building something I was excited for and was giddy with anticipation. Especially since it reminds me of JoJo the way everyone has a special capability like stands. Sadly, I was really disappointed in the end. It starts out well enough and even so to get me excited. But then it started to get weird, and I thought I could just ignore it but it then new strange things just kept read more

If you've read any of my reviews on Birdy before, you know I enjoyed Decode. Not much has changed here. This is the original 1996 adaptation OVA of the manga and is a fun action miniseries. This one doesn't really try to go anywhere with heavy development of characters or any amazing plot but it works in its favor to get straight to the action and it's great, the parents are actually there. Plus the quality of the art never really plummets like the Decode series does and can even impress me at certain moments. The best way I describe the difference between the two read more

If you've read my previous review of Tetsuwan Birdy Decode, you know I loved it but had a couple gripes with it. Well gladly I can say that Tetsuwan Birdy Decode:02 is much better. The villain isn't a meme. This time, it's a new villain who feels just as fitting in the cast with everyone else. Though, it does kinda feel now that everyone else is swept under the rug but it's likely because we already know about them. It even kinda goes to take them to show them recuperating from the previous seasons events that occurred. And Birdy has a new objective of keeping read more

Season 1 of Tetsuwan Birdy Decode is a stunning reboot to the old OVA and pays homage to the manga which also got rebooted but about 5 more times? Reboots aside, this is one of the best shining examples of story and character done right. With one exception. For the most part the characters are believable, you can understand why every character acts and portray themselves surprisingly realistically. But the main villain. He's almost a disappointing level of why. He's great for memes and in his own way feels like he belongs somewhere, but that place isn't here sadly. While this is a fun anime, read more

Darling in the FranXX was my gateway back into anime after taking a bit too long of a break away from it and honestly, I wasn't disappointed overall. That being said, I can't overlook one thing. At first, the world building in the show is great, you're told just enough to get you intrigued and there's the air of mystery around the horned girl. As time goes on, we get to know more about the world, there's less mystery, you get the idea of the situation and know as much as our main characters. Though they are mostly two dimensional and any arc they have read more

B: The Beginning is like mixing ice cream and hot sauce, someone out there likes it, and its not me. It might have fit with me better when I went through my days when I liked the story of Devil May Cry 4. The story has two different plots and while I found one of them enjoyable, mainly the one following the detective, the other made me want to tear off my ears. Why? Because it felt like another torture Mel Gibson film but you put the volume to Billy Mays heights and is the sole reason I rated the audio so horrendously. Although I read more

To really put it bluntly, Akame ga Kill is like a melting pot of ideas, that work probably even better than intended. Though it has a meh story, it's more of a foundation so that everything else can shine and you are likely to find at least one character who you enjoy. The story never really goes into much of a philosophical debate as even the main villain head honcho pretty much just a bad guy without any backstory but we do get a number of other conflicting characters that do and the stories we learn about them never overstay their welcome for those who read more
