Something about these two shows reminds me of the other. In Toaru they talk about brain pathways and the nervous system, personal realities, for espers, and how magicians brains are different from theirs. The systems all though very different made me think of Reality Marbles and Magic Circuits (pseudo nervous system) from Fate/stay night. Also Touma Kamijou and Shirou Emiya are both people that go out of their way to help others. Other people in both shows also notice that their behaviour isn't normal.

Onmyou Taisenki
add

They are both about the bonds between the human and they're monster partner. And in both shows the human characters are able to control how their monster fights by using commands (Onmyou Taisenki: the protagonist traces symbols in specific combinations to initiate an attack) or they a connect spiritually to the monster and can control what attack they use with their mind? and body. (Dragon Drive: an example is the scene where Reiji, the protagonist, points his arm out, while riding on senkokura, to aim where senkokura needs to shoot with his shin saber).

Both have a black haired, pure-hearted protagonist that gets turned into a monster, and they both have a best friend that cares alot about them, and who seem like they might be a bit insane. Their best friends have another similarity but that kinda goes into spoilery territory.

Both have Dragons. (epic) Both of these series have a protagonist who gets involved with a video game where you can control monsters. In DD the protag is isekai'd to another world but in DC:RwS the monsters appear in the human world. Also because of the circumstances, the protagonists (and their friends too) are forced to fight or play the game.

Devilman

Both of these Go Nagai works are similar in that they are episodic super hero shows where the main character is constantly fending off foes who threaten humanity. They also have a similar art-style and the voice acting has that same static-y effect. The aliens designs in Gaiking also really remind me of the designs of the demons in Devilman, they're just a little bit more sci-fi looking.
