i'm not exactly quick in responding myself, dont worry about it. :) it's nice to hear you're having a good time. new years eve was amazing for me, actually this whole vacation has been pretty awesome. i haven't had a moment for myself though. xD

and you're right. the whole serie was amazing but the ending was just unbelievable. episode 9, the one with Alice was just brilliant. it was almost scary how happy i was for her. and then that ending, it could not have been better. that made me cry alright, to the point where i couldn't even watch properly.

i don't know how its with you but its vacation over here, man am i happy that's over, for the time being ^^

ha, i shóuld mostly focus on my studies right now, but somehow that means i watch far more anime then i usually do. funny how that works. how is it that you have 3 weeks of Christmas vacation and i only have two, seems a little unfair. ^^" the amount of work they make us do right before the vacations is going to have a serious impact on the amount of sleep i'm going to get. i'm literally an otaku now for the coming time but i dont really mind surprisingly. i'm definitely going to do an anime marathon somewhere in my holiday. :)

pretty inspiring blogpost about how you started watching anime again after a long hiatus. i remember when i didnt watch anime for a couple of months, seems like we had a similar experience, although i started by just watching a new show when i had some unexpected free time, and since it was madoka i haven't felt the need to stop since. :)

so i'm not the only one who does that? thats somehow good to know.
i haven't really payed that much attention to the soundtrack, but the last time i watched aria, i noticed how subtle yet appropriate it is, and just nice. and yeah you really should watch mushishi sometime, even though there are so many anime we "should" watch and so little time to do it in. it makes me wish i could spend a week or so just watching anime.
i think i'll watch some aria now actually, i wouldnt mind being rocked by waves in the middle of the ocean ^^

aria is amazing, it might even restore my faith in humanity a little. ^^ the weird thing is, i watched ep. 13 yesterday, it was about Alice challenging herself not to walk outside of the shadow, and it was wonderful, i couldn't help myself smiling throughout the entire episode (which is the case with most episodes really). kind of makes me appreciate the small things in life more.
its the same sort of feeling of calm i get while watching mushishi, though mishishi is a little more serious it has the same sort of feeling about it.
i'll definitely watch Natsume Yuujinchou, it's been in my plan to watch list for a while now and i think i'll first finish my watching list before starting something new, but i'll get there.

i totally agree with you by the way, that was the main reason why i started rewatching kanon, escapism. i decided i wasnt going to be be bothered by the unrealistic aspects and just enjoy it. i think i prefer more realistic shows as well, not necessarily the setting but mostly the characters and the way they live their lives.
you'd recommend Nana i gather? (first i'll finish aria though)
