Hmm as for anime or manga i really haven't consumed anything in the last couple of months unfortunately. As for other media i've been reading The Lord of the Rings trilogy since the summer and i've been having a wonderful time with it, it's truly a classic in the fantasy genre. What about you?

I'll read both to the end too, literally the same reason as you. I haven't read OP since Big Mom arc either LOL.

Punpun is good, not the masterpiece people say it is but it's good! I gave it 8/10. But I'm interested what you think about it.

Rose King is something that my friend is disappointed with as well, they're adapting like 4-5 chapters per episode so it's going really fast and the animation is terrible, so just a bad experience overall. But can't do anything about it.

I can speak of what I do on a broad level like what my job is, but the findings have to be kept a secret until that gets published in a research journal otherwise I am in legal hot waters for breaching the privacy.

DICE is a waste of time, but I hope you enjoy reading it I guess.

Detective Conan and One Piece are both examples of when authors don't know if they can write something nearly as good that will make them money so they just never end their manga. Especially Conan since the cases are so repetitive that I usually figure them out on the first chapter while it takes Conan 3 chapters on average, I am smarter than Conan at this point. One Piece gets new story and new characters but the plot remains the same, bad guy, Luffy fights bad guy, bad guy beats Luffy, Luffy remembers nakama, Luffy beats bad guy, rinse and repeat. It's just annoying, although I still read One Piece every week while complaining about it because I don't like dropping anything.

Kuro was great, I really loved how it balanced the creepy with the cute and wholesome. One of the most memorable series that I have read. But I highly recommend Shadows House, it's such a great manga with really good writing, they foreshadow a lot of things so nothing feels like it comes out of the left field but it's also not obvious enough unless you read it a second time around.

A disappointing anime? Detective Is Already Dead has to be at the top, it got a lot of hype that it is really good and the plot gets really good but it was one of the shittiest shows I have watched the entire year 2021. Requiem of the Rose King is another one from this season, my friend read the manga and she was very excited for this show and got me to watch it as well, but the show is awful. It doesn't even have animation, just a bunch of slideshow presentations. Awful all around, the soundtrack is the only good thing about it, everything else is terrible. I won't drop it because I hate dropping anime/manga but I don't think I'll read the manga for it because the plot seems terrible after watching this show.

Healthy life changes sounds good. Always good to make some of those in life. I should do that as well probably.

I finished school last year in July, Neurology major. I work in a research lab now and lead a small research team, probably all I am at liberty to speak of haha. I jest, my work involves the nervous system and movement for the most part. How the brain and spinal cord move the rest of the body and how the body can still move even without the brain.

The anime is pretty good actually, not my type of story since it feels too plot-less to me (even though I am talking about Uramichi earlier), it just doesn't have anything to it apart from these two dudes falling in love, even Uramichi Oniisan had more plot than that.

Solo Levelling finished, but I found it out to be extremely boring and generic so I really disliked it apart from the art.
DICE is literally garbage, it starts off excellent but then becomes one of the most trashpile stories ever. Nothing ever happens, characters get character development only to regress a few chapters later. The story keeps going in circles. It's literally just a manhwa that keeps going because the author makes money off it and doesn't want to end it for that reason.
Solo Levelling is better than DICE though, at least it ended on time instead of dragging on for a million years with the story going in circles.

I loved Uramichi Oniisan, the humor was mostly the shit I say in real life and two of my friends that also watched it said that Uramichi was like me, and I still don't know if that's an insult or a compliment but it is what it is.

For unique stories though, I definitely recommend Sonny Boy, OddTaxi were definitely the most unique stories that I watched last year. OddTaxi is a perfectly tied up story, no loose ends (or maybe there are) but it is written so extremely well that it is probably one of the best anime stories that I have ever watched. As for Sonny Boy, it's very much an abstract experience, each episode can be interpreted in its own way and each has its own plot. It tackles a lot of themes related to young adults and growth. A very interesting show. It was my anime of the year 2021, I loved it.

Shadows House is amazing, I read the manga for it because I read the previous manga by the authors (it's called Kuro also a very interesting story). Another great story that I really liked last year was Dorohedoro, and this year we have Sabikui Bisco which is also pretty interesting. I don't really recommend it though, good animation but the story itself is very boring and generic.

I understand that, I even relate to that, watching anime feels like a hobby and more like a chore to me these days as well although my completionist tendencies keep me going.

I am watching the anime for Sasaki to Miyano currently, it's very wholesome. The rest I haven't read, I read the first chapter of the Omniscient Reader and it reminded me too much of Solo Levelling and DICE so I never picked it up after that. The other 3 I have never read, although I have Kaiju is pretty good.

In the last year, I watched some really good shows like Sonny Boy, OddTaxi, and Uramichi Oniisan. They were great shows.
Everything else was mostly mediocre or bad, mostly bad to be honest. I recommend the three I mentioned above though, they're really good.

The message wasn't awkward at all, it was just more of a "There is no way people consider me friendly on here" type idea that I had, LOL.

It sounds interesting, I have no problems with bad endings at all, journey matters more than the ending imo. I'll definitely pick it up asap, especially since it is one of the few lgbt manga that don't fetishize lgbt romances from what you've said. But your review sounds super interesting, I appreciate it.
