Are you interested in non-characters? A hardly explained world aside from dreadful exposition dumps? A stupid story with no real direction? If so, this is the show for you.

Looking at the seasonal charts and the PVs, this looked to be a very promising anime with generic but competent story, but as it turns out, the writers have no idea what they're doing. Characters are flat and boring, story is painfully predictable and even though it looks really good the direction for the show is not very good. Just an endless cluster of cliches and uninspired storytelling that makes this show a pain to watch. ...

This might get better, but honestly, I wouldn't have hopes for this one.

What does a rom-com need? This may be a weird question but hear me out.
So many rom-coms foucs on plot twists and weird situations, but the most important thing that distinguishings a good rom-com from a great one is really the characters. If the characters aren't likeable the series breaks. And this why Kaguya sama works so well.
This season of Kaguya-sama is were it all starts coming togther- things have changed from last season. The characters starts being more serious, there is more delvopment, and shirgone and kaguya really starts considering conffesing. That's the thing that makes kaguya-sama special: it changes. Sure, small things happen ... most of the time, but add one small thing to another and you get characters that while wacky and weird, are also really interesting and somewhat deep.
I won't deny the show wouldn't apeel to everyone, but if you have an appreciation for this type of story, you might find a new favorite.
