Fair point.
Ahhhh,my mistake. When I said "well rounded opinion in western cinema" I should have said "get in to the more obscure stuff that nobody knows".I have watched everything you said besides Eye candy which I never heard of until now.Oh but I haven't read 1984,I watched the movie adaption and thought it was okay...nothing noteworthy tho.Have you read the book?

It's never your intention to sound rude.

I read it. I think its overall a good review but a bit detailed (especially character descriptions) and long for my tastes but some readers want detailed and long reviews. I think I will give the series a try.

Ah,okay,I'm not huge fan of skyward sword either.I played it back in the day together with twilight princess and out of the two twilight princess is better imo. Also,I've started a playthrough of breath of the wild and I haven't finished it yet,but the game is amazing so far.
Well,it was a bit of both.I did not have the time for it but I also wanted a break but I throughout highschool watching anime was always my primary source of entertainment and I just wanted to have a more well rounded opinion in western cinema.
No it's fine I have no problems discusing it,but I'm a bit surprised you asked me about sao specifically,a lot has changed in my favorites,I even removed hakomari quite a while ago.
The thing is,I removed all of my faves recently because to be honest,my taste and standards have changed.I watched(and rewatched) a few series and came the reality that some things are just not for me anymore.I still have fond memories of the series that I used to love tho.I guess that since you are older than me you can understand that a lot can change when you are teenager, right now I'm 18 years old and more or less I am an adult.Although I still have a lot to learn and experience(no offense to you or anyone that likes sao...in fact more power to you). Also, since it fits the topic,my goal this summer is actually to watch or rewatch some anime and read manga,in order to fill my favorites.
Oh,btw I read some of your reviews and stumbled upon that ff13 novel and I actually became intersted.I know it's not a very popular or respected oinion out there, but I feel like ff13 is a decent game despite it's glaring issues. So yeah, there a high chance I'll read the novel.

Ola cara faz tempo que a gente não conversa kk, fiquei com medo que o MAL fosse acabar e até agora ele ainda não se recuperou completamente kkk.

Viu o trailer do SAO Alicization? Eu gostei que a animação vai manter a mesma qualidade do filme.

Before the anime got released, I read the novel. In the novel, his character and development is focused a lot more. I liked his philosophy a lot. Can't get a quote off the top of my head for now, but he said something like he still doesn't know what he's exactly doing with his life and how he got there.

Now there's probably loads of other characters like him, but he was one of those characters where I could relate to him in a number of ways and he was actually the only character where we actually know all of his past. It's a pity that Violet gets all the attention, while Gilbert only gets some attention for taking care of her. There's actually a lot more about him that people don't realize. The anime made him look like a pedophile by making Violet so young... I mean, 14... In the novel she's at least 18 by the time she becomes a doll...

Thanks for the compliment, I'm not a man with pretty words... Still lots of room for improvement.

Oh,I'm doing fine thank you
I'm actually a highschool graduate now
I got back into anime very recently because I 've been watching live action movies for quite a while now and also I'm more into video games
What about you? How is life treating you these days?
Also I noticed on profile, you're playing skyward sword....is the game to your liking so far?

When I get time, I'll do some digging. I use to know the name for that ost, but I've lost track of it lol

Also, I don't think Shouma is a pacifist, more like....depressed.

On the contrary, he deeply despises and craves to be like Kanba in many ways. He is the one to attack him when he was told about his job. Which makes the moment of he forgives and accepts Kanba all the more powerful sInce he is feels salvaged as well, and capable of saying he loves Ringo. What held him back was the very fact his brother had had so many fruitless relationships, while he most likely hadn't had a chance. Also, he felt he bore all responsibility for his parents. Upon acceptance of Kanba and his parents, and the realisation that Ringo needed a family more than anything, using love as an excuse, he becomes capable of having that 'Goodbye' accompanied with 'I love you'. He would not have been able to say it if he wasn't leaving, there was just too much awkwardness between them, and Shouma hated love because of how, he deemed, Kanba was using it.

I just noticed how much more I have to say. Sorry, but that is a good summarization of his character.

Have you find the entire Penguindrum novel?
Nosma Jul 10, 9:23 PM
I'll be transferring to the department of mathematics, that's all news.

I will read them. Be sure about that. Not right now, though.

Manga and anime are quite different, but both are good. Read away!
