The first season of Rewrite had the right idea by making a sixth route. But they ended up doing everything wrong and it was horrible. They didn't stick to the sixth route and threw in random scenes from other routes with no context and no buildup. Those who didn't read the VN had no idea what the heck was even happening. The new Kagari was funny, but they clearly overdid it with the feecof jokes and misplaced gags. They did everything wrong with Midou's gang and the Earth Dragon. I could go on and on. If there was something good about the first season, it would be that we could see what the other characters were doing and thinking and that there was a sense of unity between them in the serious part, which wasn't the case in the VN.

And then the first episode of Moon and Terra came out and it was awesome! I was blown away by how well it was done. They portrayed Kotarou's true personality, his motivation, his fears and weaknesses really well. They carefully crafted Kotarou's relationship with Kagari just the way it was supposed to be.
I really have no complaints about the first episode of the second season. If they can adapt Moon on this high level of quality, I will already be satisfied. If they can do that with Terra as well, the anime will be epic. But I have to be very careful with my expectations ^^'
