Bro your thoughts on Vinland Saga are not AT ALL relevant imo.

And what Frosty- said are my exact views on the series.
Frosty- Dec 10, 9:10 AM
Interesting, I would have agreed with the generic protagonist idea if Thorfinn was the same revenge obsessed lad before the time-skip(basically a one-dimensional protagonist), instead the Farmland saga actually develops the character into probably one of the best protagonist in ongoing manga.

The ongoing investigation of Thorfinn's pacifism is in light of the of a warrior that he holds within himself. Thorfinn had a character transition from violent to pacifist, the whole point of farmland arc was the buildup to his pacifist ideology. Until now we have seen things from Thorfinn's perspectives, his change in character, but what about those lives he ruined in his path? Will we have any repercussions for that? That's the whole point after the timeskip, it's explored in a very unique way by showcasing his mentality using various characters like Hild and Askeladd.

I think the problem is that the manga promised epic fights with the flair of Askeladd and Thorfinn in the first arc, and since after the prologue, it makes a total opposite change in tone(for story reason obviously, manga was never intended as an action adventure manga at all but exploration and finding of Vinland) and added philosophical themes to it, people get disappointed.

Do you dislike the current arc of Vinland saga or just hate the whole thing?
Reisquin Dec 10, 8:32 AM
I see, thanks.

I think I will since it's about bullying? I am currently writing a story on bullying as the main premise when it comes to the first arc of the story.

That's nice, I think you'll like it. At least, I definitely loved it. If you're still hesitating though, you could hold the VN for later since anything's better when you have nothing to hesitate about.

Hey Nacht, it's a comedy at most. Do you like comedy?
There's one route in Majikoi that I could call serious since there's very little comedy in that.

Yes, I know ... I've been looking for the translated work in my country (in Portuguese), but I have not found it yet. Some stores here in Brazil have the Portuguese version, I just have not bought it yet ... v (¯∇¯)

Ah, I suppose "fan-service" was maybe the wrong word. Perhaps "sexual" would be better. Thanks!

Heya, just finished Nise today. And I can understand the controversy haha. They've obviously amped up the fan-service elements to 11 and, in general, the show feels rather separate from the main plot and serves more as a way of introducing Araragi's sisters.

Personally, I really loved this series. I feel like the iconic "toothbrush scene" was hilarious and honestly the fan-service elements didn't take much away from the show. Like it never felt outta place and it enhanced what would already be a good show.

Following on from that, this show was actually just very funny in general. Buncha gags and such so was very enjoyable!

Animation and everything was also kicked up a notch which really helped with my immersion as well as making every scene a joy to watch.

Whilst I wouldn't consider this season better than Bakemonogatari, it was very good, regardless. I can understand why it's considered the black sheep of the series now - it doesn't feel the same. But it's still got the same charm from each interaction and a great show regardless.

Well those are my thoughts summarised - moving onto Neko now :]

I see, the first season starts off a bit slow though
