Having recieved the following "Club messaging has been disabled for now. This will likely return in the future." every time I try to message all club members. And after spending about an hour trying to find out if they even have an ETA on the return, I decided I have to do this the old fashioned way.

Time to nominate your favorite anime!

Rules are simple, nominate a single anime or second one that someone else has nominated.

You may nominate something you have nominated before, but not a previous winner.

Any finished anime series, movie, or finished OAV is eligible. Any anime series currently airing is not.

Please include a url link to the anime that you are nominating as occasionally the name is repeated, but the series are completely different (i.e. Macross).

Hiya Murph .. I got it this past Monday, but work has been rather overwhelming these past few weeks and I haven’t had much of a chance to dive into it .. not to mention it’s been some time since I got & watched the first half, so I kinda wanna rewatch it before starting on the volume 2 collection .. this being my first watch of the series at all!!! So no spoilers ‘til I’ve seen the second half ;-)

I also just preordered another series I’ve never seen “Higashi no Eden” which most of my friends rate fairly high and looks cool .. it’s due out in a few weeks, although I am a bit miffed at spending nearly $45 for an 11 episode series on 2 DVD’s .. I thought it a bit pricey especially as the series has a special & two movies that came out after it aired .. you’d think they’d at least have included them on the set (guess I’ll have to DL them afterwards) .. am still pretty amped to watch it, I love finding & being surprised by series that are new for me .. hope it lives up to its ratings :-)

too bad it was left unfinished and never will grow ;-(

I too wished to see more of Youko’s story after her trip away from the palace .. In addition to that, I also really wished they’d completed Taiki’s story! That would have meant a perfect 10 from me, but as it stands I gave it a good solid 9. Really a brilliant series, will most likely pick up the Manga to delve further into the story and get some closure.

I’ve marathoned through every other series based on stories or character designs by Yoshitoshi Abe .. Texhnolyze is the first one I’ve had an issue watching .. not that I don’t like it, but rather am having difficulty finding interest in continuing .. and frankly kinda keep hoping something will change resulting in it jumping out and grabbing me. I’m only 5 ep’s in, so at least there’s still time for me to catch on to what some others seem to see in it ;-)

12 Kingdoms was based in a series of books, but the author left the story unfinished so there was never a chance for more unfortunately :(

What I love in LotgH is how much it resembles the real world. Political intrigue has a dominant role in the plot, as has the fact that there is no black or white in it, only shades of gray. I did not bother with the various OVAs released after it finished thought, all of them are prequels anyway.

Hi there Murph, I see you are watching 2 of my favorites, 12 Kingdoms and Legend of the Galactic Heroes. LogH is little long with 110 episodes but I finished it very fast, I just love a good space opera. How do you like it so far?

heads up Murph, release date for Toradora Premium set #2 has just been pushed back to at least late Aug or most likely some time in Sept... ;-(

oh well, I've waited this long already .. waiting a little longer will make it seem that much more worth it once it finally shows up :-D

I still need to get Maison Ikkoku finished. I really like it, but somehow never seem to put it in...It along with Emma and Fighting Spirit are just cursed. I was watching them all around the same time span and now they're all staring at me whenever I'm at my desk, begging to be watched and yet I refuse. Which is silly, because I like them all...it seems the more I like something, the less likely I am to continue it.
