SPOILERS (for the ending's tone)
Honestly super nice story overall, a bit rushed with 11 eps and also a bit weird with the whole grandpa training arc, but really great.
One big issue I had was the over-extension of the character types on either side, good and bad. Too many people who are actual scum of the earth and other people who are holier-than-thou. I understand that there actually are people like that in the world, but this anime makes it seem like there are only those two types of people.
Otherwise, generally good art with the obligatory "CGI bad" issues, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

here comes the little spoiler part. I'm not a fan of unhappy endings, and this anime kinda has that. The whole sacrifice to finish it off and he doesn't even get to enjoy the world he saved is kinda saddening, but at least some good character development for Hiro and Mari.
Overall, a solid anime, plus DONALD J TRUMP THE GOATTTTTT

This is a hard one to rate, and I feel it all boils down to what lens you are looking at this through.
In terms of isekai trash +ero-manga it's a solid 8.5-9/10 because sometimes you need that power fantasy and sex in your life.
It's definitely not a piece of art that should be admired and be held up as the gold standard so from a typical manga perspective (where you're not only looking for isekai trash, but at the same time you enjoy it) it's like a 5 or 6.
The story honestly has some great parts in terms of the actual issues the MCs friends

face with his "death" but pretty much each one of them is solved instantly by sex. So if that's what you're looking for, 10/10. If not, well then you are reading the wrong manga.
TL;DR - upper echelon isekai trash, but isekai trash in the end.

TL;DR - You would do yourself, and the world, a big favor by reading this masterpiece of a manga
You know, I really do feel bad for the authors of this manga (and the LN of course). I can't imagine how tough life would be if you had to wake up everyday with the burden of creating the greatest art of all time.
Because that is what this manga and story is. Art.
A masterpiece that manages to wow you at every step of the way. It is so incredibly funny and captivating at the same time. With a great story, great characters, great action, and great comedy.

As long as you don't take it too seriously you will definitely appreciate the masterpiece that is Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute.
It is the best in every category it falls in tbh. Top-tier isekai, top-tier fantasy, top-tier comedy, top-tier action, top-tier manga. It has it all. And on top of all that, there is an anime in the works, so if you want to see it animated you don't really have to wonder what it would be like. Granted, none of the details have been worked out and it could be a flop, but that's all the more reason to read the manga! (Plus the better the entire thing is recieved, the better the chances of a good anime)

So there's isekai trash, and then we have isekai GARBAGE.
Like there are so many shows out there that follow your general isekai formulas with a little twist or something, but atleast they do it some what well. You would assume that a pharmacist isekai would follow the formula at the very least.
To keep it short and sweet, here is what the show has:
Your typical child-like character (I mean the whole show seems so childish but whatever) who really cares for MC, your typical servant like character who cares for MC, tsundere strong girl who cares for MC, little noble girl who cares for the
...
MC, etc.
In addition to all this repetitiveness, pretty much each episode is the same, and it is so boring.
I definitely wouldn't recommend this anime, it isn't bad enough that I had to drop it (I almost did though, stopped watching after episode 4 and then came back for the hell of it), but it isn't good enough for you to go out of your way to start it.
Just leave this show in it's own little corner and move on, unless you want to show this to like your 7 year old siblings or whatever, then maybe it’s fine.

So basically... Sex
Like that is it, that is what this manga provides. I mean there are literally bonus chapters that go in depth into the sex scenes.
The story is more or less unimportant but it is your isekai classics. Guy dies doing some heroic stuff (in this case, robbery protection or something) and the gods make him kinda OP (not too much for this manga, although his companions are OP) and put him into your average isekai world.
Some game interface type tropes also show up here, so that might throw some people off, but I don't mind since the world building isn't that important

in this manga.
TL;DR - If you are down bad and want your classic isekai harem sex manga stuff, this is a good one. Some drama here or there but mainly just sex and dungeon/tower fights. Solid.

I honestly don't know why I am watching at this point, it is pretty infuriating to watch.
Like this show is bad, but I need more new shows to watch on Fridays this season so I stick with it for now. However, dropping this show is not a bad option.
6 episodes in and I'm not seeing the goal. There's a difference between having the skill development happen like the slime reincarnation one (I know some people don't like the comparison, but come on... they are pretty similar. Atleast conceptually) but this just takes too long. The show is too slow, the classroom characters are pretty bland,

and since they are not even the main focus of the story their worth just goes down.
The comedy isn't great, the action isn't either, the CGI is not something I really care about, but even I can tell it's laughably bad. Overall I really don't really get what this show is trying to achieve.
All I can say is I'm not enjoying it a lot, it's boring. Although it seems to be picking up it does not seem great. In my honest opinion, whenever I try to sit through an episode without using the 5-second skip normally, I honestly might break my headphones. It is too slow for too little enjoyable content.

What can I say, it checks all the boxes for a fantasy anime and an isekai.
It is very very enjoyable, it kind of follows all the typical tropes but also puts its own spin on them.
If I could sum up the anime so far, I would say "It just works!"
It really does meet up with what you want an isekai to be, and it stays special in its own way and the studio is really doing good on its debut anime (although technically not debut idk, the studio is a joint venture from white fox, who brought us Steins;Gate and Re:Zero, plus the producers

It's great, I'm having fun, sad that it's only 11 eps this season, with the amount of content in the Light Novels (apparently, haven't read em) there could be enough for a bunch of seasons.
10/10 would die from Truck-kun again

Brilliant, just absolutely fucking brilliant.

If you don't enjoy it, either your tastes are WAY DOWN SOUTH from most people, or you are just one of those people who don't like popular stuff.
I'm going to be 100% honest. Reading this had me grinning ear-to-ear, giggling like a school girl, and clapping my hands in excitement at the end of practically every chapter.
There is only one problem I have with this. EVERYTHING ELSE SEEMS SO BAD NOW IN COMPARISON.
Much like Haikyuu for me (Anime version) I just wanna re-read and spend hours of my time reading something that I can practically recall word for word. IT IS JUST THAT GOOD.
Like no, you can't not read this. You HAVE to give this a try. It is just too good.
You can tell by the rating that it's good. You can tell by most of the reviews that it's good.
The top review (by abystoma2 at the moment) is complete bullshit IMO. It's probably cuz that MFs favorites are all psychological drama horror stuff with some JoJo HxH and Monogatari in there. He don't know shit dawg. If you like anything other than drama horror psychological shit or romance even just a little bit, this series is a MUST READ.

"Give me the next one too!"
TL;DR: If you felt like not watching the season because of some bad reviews or the art style or whatever, you are wrong and WATCH IT. It does not disappoint IMO.
I couldn't wait for this season since the last one was more than half filled with the training arc. However, If you look at the 4th season as a 25 episode season, You'll see why I gave it a 8 overall.

for a while.
I always give Haikyuu the "Haikyuu bias" as I call it. Where essentially anything that can be rated in the show is usually bumped a point or two higher simply because it is just such a great show that I LOVE!
This season revolved around the Inarizaki vs Karasuno match, with a little segment for Nekoma.
Coming into the season, with the couple outsourced episodes, and the clearly different art style, people felt a little off. For good reason too. But, Haikyuu delivers what Haikyuu does, and that is emotional character development with hype matches.
To name a few parts that stick with the main Haikyuu philosophy, we have:
Tanaka's cross shot arc
Tsukishima's arc against Suna Rintaro
Nishinoya and Kinoshita's arc
Hinata's recieving arc (THE BEST IMO)
Kageyama's messed up one-handed set thing (idk what to call it) arc
This season does not deviate much from the feeling that Haikyuu usually delivers, and I don't see a way you can say otherwise. The art style may have changed (definitely for the worse 100%), but if Haikyuu started with this art and continued on, I still believe it would have been a brilliant show. Much like it is right now.
I'm gonna keep the sound, character, etc. rating short.
Story: 9/10: Great match, showed both sides as well, Nekoma even got in. Happy days.
Art: 6/10: Haikyuu bias, probably should be 4-5 compared to previous seasons, but I DONT CARE.
Sound: 9/10: The haikyuu soundtrack is great, although some people didn't like the sped up version at the end of the match, I think it was great that they didn't fully repeat the song exactly, and it also matched the message of "speed can be bad" or whatever.
Character: 10/10: Just great development all around, as I mentioned with the arc stuff earlier.
Enjoyment: 9/10: MAN ITS HAIKYUU, JUST SO GOOD
Overall: 8/10: Compared to previous seasons, maybe just a little worse, I'd say mainly cuz of the art, outsourcing, and a little bit cuz of the random Nekoma insertion (still enjoyed the Nekoma episodes tho)
