I wanted to ask you, how have you been here since 2014 and seen so very few animes? Also overlord season came out on 2018, do you remember why you gave it a bad rating?
I see your point now, also I agree that Tanjiro not being phycologically affected by his family's deaths was dumb, but I still think demon slayer deserves at least a 7, (I guess it depends on what you focus on) while it might lack in character development and a few other aspects, it still stands out from other airing anime because of its smooth animation, it's soundtrack and it's overall well done fighting scenes.
I understand that the "every demon used to be a good guy" formula can be repetitive but in a way it makes the show unique and makes you relate more to Tanjiro's empathy for demons.
If you are going to compare demon slayer with Hunter x Hunter, you should have in mind that Hunter x Hunter had 100+ episodes, more than enough for a proper character development. I know demon slayer isn't as short as those 12 episode animes, but I think that if demon slayer ends up getting more episodes we will see good character development.
Sorry for being harsh earlier, ("the big pile of bullshit" lol), but some of the things you stated in your review weren't fully explained (but you have explained them with your reply) and my friend (pollowe) was spamming me messages at 1am complaining about your review (he really likes demon slayer) and wanted me to act toxic and insult you the way he did, so in a way it was to make him calm down. He was also mad because of the rating you gave overlord (I also think you rated it too low, but since you didn't make a review, I can't really argue with you about it).
Also, The boys is a great show (even tho it isn't exactly loyal to the comic). I can't wait for season 2.
Based on your reviews and ratings I can tell you are pretty much biased on your reviews, making them awful reviews.
Like how the opening affected your AOT review and not the Demon Slayer review, how demon Slayer has an good and fitting soundtrack for most (if not all) their scenes and you gave it a 7 on sound while you gave AOT a 9 on sound, when the only thing sound related AOT is good at is their openings (but nothing from another world), while the rest of the soundtrack is ok.
You say Demon slayer haves a typical shounen start, when My hero academia haves a way more typical start and yet you give a way better rating (I do like my hero academia, but it's worth pointing out).
Now regarding the last part of your review of demon Slayer (what I like to call the big pile of bullshit), you complain about how the protagonist isn't a crybaby, doesn't get a psychological trauma and doesn't give up, well that's 90% of shounen anime protagonist. A protagonist doesn't have to be crying all the time like Midorya to be a good character, and then you also have Gon from HxH who doesn't get scared of taking an exam where people die or doesn't have any psychological trauma after all the deaths in greed island or the yorknew city arc where a lot of people die. And yet you don't complain about Gon or Hunter x Hunter at all. You are basically complaining about traits most shounen anime protagonists have and cherry picking traits about demon slayer that are common in other animes you have watched but are only judging them on this particular anime.
You are a piece of shit , the animes you have rated with 5 or 6 , like overlord and give 8 to boku no hero. or 10 to Death note. TEN FOR FUCKING DEATH NOTE. You are retarded at least, or you had already hit your head with a rock.
