Welcome to my profile! I'm not very interesting but feel free to add me, comment or message me!
Well what can I say about myself? I am a tech enthusiast who likes building things. I'm a final year high schooler who is about to go into university once 2018 summer happens and ends.
I was born in Urayasu, Japan (might as well say I was born in Disneyland...) but moved to Edinburgh when I was 4 years old. Unfortunately I've forgotten 95% of the Japanese I learned when I was young but it has affected my pronunciation and articulation meaning I can't 'properly' say any English words with the letter 'L' plus I can't say (like to an comprehensible degree) certain words with multiple syllables as I can't split them up in my head or they are like a tongue twister to me. However, I can imitate others speaking Japanese pretty well soo...I could sound like I can speak Japanese? :D
Hobbies: Building things (such as the quadcopter I've built or my custom loop computer), climbing. Interests: Tech in general, aviation, warships (*cough cough* totally doesn't influence my favourite game and anime I'm interested in). Favourite... Note: I have issues picking a single thing so ya know, gotta have multiple :P
Game (currently): World of warships and Rainbow Six Siege
Food: Don't have one however food I like includes Ichigo cake, watermelons, tempura, grilled salmon and fried rice.
Colour: Blue and white, indigo is also a nice colour.
Anime (childhood): Probably shin-chan, doraemon and Digimon adventures. Detective conan is a close fourth.
Anime (TV series): Toradora, Netoge no Yome and Arpeggio of Blue Steel
Anime (movie): Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki.
Genre: Romance Comedy (only because they're my most watched genre, as of post-2016).
How I rate anime:
Well this is what the 1-10 rankings means to me which is mostly based on amusement, entertainment value and interest, in other words enjoyment.
10 - Masterpiece, loved every moment.
9 - Loved it and it is soooooooo close to being a masterpiece but something minuscule is missing or bugs me.
8 - Found it highly enjoyable as it ticks almost all of my boxes however there are minor flaws (but that's just me being nitpicky).
7 - Very enjoyable, worth the watch, may have a couple of minor flaws but its pros outweight those flaws and still makes it a worth-while watch.
6 - It was worth the watch and it was mostly interesting however there were parts that I found boring. It may be due to the actual storyline or execution but something bugs me, forfeiting a higher score.
5- Mediocre but I don't regret watching it however I definitely won't watch it again as there were multiple major flaws/issues with it (i.e. something I dislike considerably).
4 - I found it boring. There may be no flaws in it but I found it so boring that I can't give it a higher score (even if the animation, storyline, character development ect. is top class)
3- I found it boring and there were major issues with it.
1 and 2 - Nope, nope, nope, complete waste of time and I'd recommend to not go any where near it.
I'll only drop an anime if I find it too boring and/or tedious to watch.
First anime (that I can remember): Either Shin-chan or Digimon Adventures
Anime(s) I remember the best: Arpeggio of blue steel (both TV and movies), Btooom and Strike the blood. Funnily enough, they were the three series I watched during my 3 year "haitus" (2013-2016)
Anime that made me come back from my haitus: High school fleet (wargaming colab).
Anime that started my binge of Romcoms: Funnily enough Clannad.
Previous anime that were part of my top 10 (inside the brackets is the anime that knocked them out of top 10): Clannad (Suka Suka), Sakurasou (Nogizaka Haruka)
Milestones:(in terms of my MAL list as there are still a lot unaccounted since I was born till this account creation, only 13 are watched pre-2017)
1st: Clannad and High school fleet (can't remember which one hit my list first).
100th: Higashi no Eden Movie I: The King of Eden
