A disclaimer for maybe understanding some of my scores: I don't watch anime week to week and therefore I don't watch seasonal anime.
One show at a time at my own pace and marathoning it is my preferred way of watching anime except for a few long running series.
I usually don't rate the shows I drop. As a result you should expect an above average mean score.
The iyashikei genre, anime about the japanese countryside and anime about youkai are generally very near to my heart.
My rating scale:
10★: Masterpiece/Personal Favorite - An amazing show with outstanding execution in certain areas. It often creates a special connection and might be a show with "the right qualities at the right time".

9★: Amazing - Anime with minor & insignificant flaws. Only the special "it" is missing otherwise they could become 10s.

8★: Very Good - Immensely enjoyable work with some flaws that don't really affect the overall experience.

7★: Good - A favorable slice of entertainment that noticeably lacks in one or two areas but still includes a high amount of very good aspects.

6★: Solid - A solid product with good and bad aspects. No significant positive or negaitve change to the status quo.

5★: Meh - Very noticable weaknesses with some redeeming qualities.

4★: Subpar - The weaknesses outweigh the strengths by far.

3★: Bad - May have had potential at one point but the show is incredibly flawed.

2★: Awful/Horrible - It's an animation by definiton but nothing of value can be found. A disaster.

1★: Completely broken - It being an anime or even entertainment should be called into question.
