after watching the series i got confused on what happened but after watching this movie i thought the ending was unsettling having Shinji choke Asuka didnt sit well with me even though Shinji's mind has snapped from being a pilot on an Evangelion and the trauma that went with it but none the less i think the writers should have gone with a different approach but thats just me on that view, none the less everything about Neon Genesis Evangelion as a whole in anime series and movies its pretty outstanding cant believe i forgot ... about this when it was aired but now that i've rewatched it i've come to love it as the story progressed on
