Before starting the review I would like to say that I have read most part of the Visual Novel, and I love it, but I will not compare them and I will not argue about the number of episodes, because the review section is supposed to tell about the anime only, and why you should watch or not watch it according to my opinion.
Rewrite is set in the fictional city Kazamatsuri where treeplanting and afforestation have caused the city to become overgrown with trees and flowers in much the same way that other cities are filled by buildings. Tennouji Kotarou lives here. He's a high
school student who has the ability to rewrite his own body. He can become stronger and faster at any time he chooses. He investigates supernatural mysteries with five girls from his school.
That's the story very simplified, it doesn't really catch many attention by simply reading the synopsis, despite being much more complex than it seems.
This anime is an action, comedy, romance and school genre, but why is harem not included here? Refering to the ANIME it really should be a harem genre, a guy staying with five girls in a club, getting along better with each one at each episode. As regards to the action genre I really think they tried to have many action scenes since the very beginning of the anime, which I think was not necessary, because if it followed a slower pace I'm pretty sure it would be way better than that, there's too many action and too many things happening, I mean, things happen too fast and sometimes you don't even know anymore what you are watching, I think the word that fits it better is: messy, I also saw many people saying that weren't understanding anything about the anime. About the Comedy in the anime, it's funny, not a anime that you will laugh every minute, not even every episode, just because it is not meant to be this way, so I really think it doesn't lack comedy at all, in other words, in my opinion the comedy was almost used in the right way, there are some scenes where comedy wasn't necessary, actually, it shouldn't be there. About the Romance, until now the romance was not very present, it just seems like a generic harem anime, not romantic, even the characters personalities seems like harem.
The Art of the anime tried to be the most moe as possible, all the girls were supposed to be cute, I don't think it fits the anime at all, it could be a lot better, but I didn't found it bad or ugly. It has some CG's, some of them were well made, but most of them weren't, I don't consider it unpleasant, maybe for the majority it can be, also some scenes I feel like the art is a bit bad, but it also has some scenes I found the art pretty, specifically at the beginning of the first episode only, to be honest, as the episodes went by I had the feeling the art worsened.
About the sound, I think it's almost perfect, it fits with the scenes and they are very pleasant to hear, OP and ED are beautiful, also 2nd OP and ED are great, Koibumi from Yanagi Nagi and Sunbright by Ayaka Kitazawa are wonderful, I just think the musics were used in the wrong way or timing sometimes, that's why I wouldn't give it a 10 score.
About the characters all of them are pretty funny in their own way, all of them have unique characteristics and personalities, although they seem like the same generic harem type of characters in the beggining, they are pretty well made and show their real selfs at some point.
I can say I did enjoy it a lot, and also that I didn't, probably because I read the novel it disappointed me in some points, but it was so enjoyable to see some good scenes being animated, many action scenes, drama, some funny scenes and some romance aspects, although it really feels like just another harem action anime in the beginning. The anime has a fast pace and that's the bad point here, this "original route" was not bad, the way they adapted it to be a 13 episodes isn't bad, but the way the story was presented and how rushed it is, this is what makes it bad, also the original route is pretty much a mix of every route in Rewrite in a lighter version, when what's happening is "too heavy" it seems that they tried to break the ice making a comedy scene right after it, that's another bad point.
A new season has already been announced, which I think is great, this entirely season seemed to be rushed and it really was. Anime-only viewers probably disliked it, also some people who read the novel too, they left so many things unexplained, but there's still hope for this, next season Moon and Terra routes will be adapted, so it will probably be more understandable for everyone and it's expected to be better adapted too. I'm looking forward for it and I hope everyone feels the same, I mean, this entire season feels like an introduction for the vast and complex story of rewrite, and probably everything will be much more clear after season two, and also depending on how good next season will be, people may change the opinion about this, unfortunately(or not) some people probably just won't watch next season.

I'm a person who rarely gives a grade below 6, but in this case I had to.
From what I understood there's a gate, called the Divine Gate that if you reach it you can modify the whole world the way you want it
The story is fair, if it was told the right way, it could be good, but they made it so bad.
This anime is an action, fantasy and sci-fi, so it is mainly an action anime, which is not good, the fighting scenes are short and most part of them are pretty bad. Basically the most important part for this anime to be good ... was bad, the only way to save this anime was the course of the story, that didn't saved it al all, also this is not a complete anime, it doesn't ends the story, it ends urging a new season.
The art has some 3D aspects, they are not bad, but neither are OK, I would say they are mediocre, 3D animation actually is something that usually doesn't please people, so that makes it worse for the anime image, even the 2D animation is not good.
The sound, if I have to say I think it is the only thing that is actually "good" of this anime, the OP is pretty good, the ED is good, the OST are fine.
The characters are pretty bad though, they have bad motivations, they have strange pasts, and made strange choices all their life, the protagonist is very dumb though, he is always blaming himself for things he didn't do, there are characters that according to MAL are main characters, but they hardly appear, I really can't understand it, the others main characters are not bad, but also not good.
I did not enjoyed this anime, don't really know why I watched it until the final, I think in the two or three last episodes I was curious about what would happen, maybe that's a good point about this anime, I recommend you not to watch it unless you really have nothing to do.

This anime is a ecchi, action, harem and school genre, all these genres together result in an anime style that usually do not please the audience, that's the big problem here. When you first see this anime you may think "Yeah, this is the kind of cliche anime that every anime season has", but in my opinion you are wrong if you thought that, personally I was wrong too, I admit, I thought it was the same cliche of always, but it ended up being an anime way more interesting.
The story takes place in a fictionary world, where there are ancient weapons, named Drag-Ride that ... are ancient mechanical weapons. Five years ago, the protagonist, named Lux Arcadia, was the prince of the Empire, and he also was known as the strongest Drag-Knight, the Empire was destroyed due to a revolt, now Lux is known as the "Weakest Undefeated", the Drag-Knight who doesn't attack. Due to some reasons Lux ends up entering a girl's school that raises Drag-Knights.
This is the story, not bad thought, if it was a little more serious I think it could've been an anime that would please more audience than this, one problem is how ridiculous things end up happening and how all the girls want so bad the protagonist, but if you think about it, it's very common in the harem anime genres, not saying that it explains why, I think if a harem is built in the correct way it can be good, sadly it wasn't the case.
The art of the anime has many 3D aspects, which may be a little unpleasant for some people, some parts I think the art was very strange and bad, but nothing that displeased me so much, the art was most part of the time OK, the fighting scenes were all OK too.
About the sound, I can't really say if it was good or bad, it didn't caught my attention enough to make an opinion, so I will just say it's OK too, I also liked the OP, it gets in your head, the ED was also very good, singed by the group nano.RIPE that I personally like very much.
If I have to say something about the characters is that, yes they are cliche, there are all of the types of girls that almost every harem anime has, but that is almost a standard of harem animes. So I really think that the characters are not bad at all, I liked even some of the supporting characters, maybe more than some main characters, lol. They all have some interesting story about their pasts, and their personalities and ways of acting didn't displeased me at all.
If I have to choose if I enjoyed it or not, I would really say I enjoyed, the beggining may not catch your attention, even I thought about dropping it in the beggining, but I don't regret not dropping it, if it gets a second season in the future I will watch, if you dropped and are reading this, I advise you to give it another chance, you may end up liking it, just like me.

Ok, this is my very first review so do not expect too much of it.
Plastic Memories is a Drama, Comedy, Romance and Sci-fi style of anime.
Basically, there are robots named "giftias" that helps people domestically, or for others reasons. They have an operating period and as soon as this deadline ends, they start loosing its memory and end up becoming threats to people, so they have to be collected, but this time is about of nine years, more than enough time to develop a good relationship with your giftia, and that's the main purpose of the anime.
On the issue of drama, it can be a ... very dramatic anime, when you anxiously want to know what will happen in the next episode. The comedy is good, but is not the strongest point in the anime, it was a good point to create an affection with the characters, but as I said, it's not the strongest point of the anime. About the romance, there's that one typical problem faced by the protagonists in almost every romance anime, where they are concerned about frivolous things and end up taking many time to develop a relationship because of theirs shyness and other trivial reasons.
Here are my grades:
Story (9/10): For me the story is very good and with a good focus, it wanted to demonstrate that even having little time to create good memories to someone, it's better than have not created any. In the beggining, this anime presented all the plot and in my opinion the story became a little predictable, I mean, it became easy to know what would happen throughout the course of the anime, not as much as turning que anime less enjoyable, but that is a small negative point.
Art (10/10): The art of anime is very beautiful as well as most anime coming out, nothing important to say here.
Sound (10/10): As far as openings, sound effects and OST's are very well made and give pleasure to my ears, on openings and endings, I think it is something extremely important for an anime, and they pleased me a lot.
Character (9/10): There are several characters that have very different personalities, are typical characters of anime, but hefty well, everyone has their defects and their abilities.
Enjoyment(9/10): I have to admit that sometimes I felt very anxious to see the next episode, but there were also times when I had almost no desire to watch it, but the anime itself is very pleasurable to watch and so this grade is nine.
Overall: (10/10): I think the anime is really a masterpiece, the end is great and full of feelings, many people criticize the end saying it was very predictable and obvious, but in my opinion was a realistic end and so unexpected.
-POSSIBLE DANGER OF SPOILER-
The end of the anime is very criticized, because they say it was obvious and predictable, but the truth is that what was expected was to be a final in which everything would be fine and they would be happy in the end by some miracle, what would be technically impossible, so I do not think that was obvious and much less predictable, was a great, realistic and perfect end, Isla was happy and so was Tsukasa, they made what they wanted to do and Isla could rest in peace.
