Don't under estimate this series from it's cliche synopsis. Yes it follows a lot of the cliche of Shonen but it does so with effort and love.

Many bad shonen follow the cliche's of Shonen like marking off points on a checklist. These series fail not becase they followed the tropes of Shonen. But because they did so without understanding them. They were just made by companies who looked at what was popular and said "we can do that".

Mecha-ude is nothing like that. It uses the cliche's of Shonen unashamably because the makers clearly love classic shonen and wanted to make their own. The episode read more

NOTE: This review is meant for people who have not watched much and want to know if this is worth watching.

Overall I give this a hard 5 because while I did finish it I only enjoyed certain moments. But I'll break things down to keep it simple and spoiler Free besides maybe the first episode or two

The story is pretty terrible. After the MC litterally gets forced into this the story seems to drift for a bit before suddenly a big tournament starts. Normally this would take a few episodes and then afterwards the story would move on but the tournament takes up the rest read more

Warning: this series turns into something else entirely at episode 9. Prior to episode 9 I gave this series a solid 6. Nothing great but a fun story that was nice to kill a little time.

Even before episode 9 the anime really fit into one of those awkward spots where it's not bad... but everything is done just a little bit wrong.

For example the action is good... except since we rush through every battle it's hard to be invested into most of it so it's actually a bit boring except for the occasional badass moment but even that's a bit wasted by the pacing.

What can I say about this besides .... boring.

I mean maybe it will pick up later but unless this is going to be a new long running series it's running out of time.

Nothing about this series is "bad" in the sense they did anything wrong. But it feels bland to the extreme and feels unpolished.

First off it's execution of "drops", which appear to the the primary game mechanic , is half assed. They litterally just have magic spheres that you do combos with. While translating game mechanics into an anime based on a game is okay it feels like the writers put no effort into read more

Tokyo Underground feels like a lot of other shonen action series from around this point in time. You have a guy with short hair, average height, decent fighter, spirited, and a good heart. You also have the sweet maiden character who is completely useless or the tough but not really tomboyish girl. This one has both.

Tokyo underground has all these things in common and more but it falls short in a few things making it actually lesser than a lot of the others. First of all in our main character. Even though he is supposed to be such a good fighter he never uses any read more

First off let me that since this is partly a parody anime you'll lose a lot the enjoyment if you have no idea what anime they are referencing (although they use some pretty popular ones so most anime fans should be fine).

The story for this show is mediocre at best and completely nonsensical but that is part of the fun. The plot is not deep and even when the show seems to be getting serious it is just setting itself up for more gags. But it does have at least a few serious moments especially between Mahiro and Nyaruko.

Space the final frontier. The space genera is about as vast as space itself and no matter how many series you see you can always find a new one that you can find fun.

Now to talk about lost universe. First I'd like to say that if you are familiar with the slayers series then you should watch this. But if you didn't enjoy slayers you should still give it a shot.

STORY: The story for this series is rather good. Our main characters are involved in a battle that will decide the fate of the universe but the audience doesn't know it until close to the read more
