So first of all don't be expecting a typical BL love story just because of the shounen ai tag!
This story does have romance elements in it but is super light on the shounen ai I would argue it's almost non existant entirely and could be described more of a platonic love story all in all.
Plot and artwork go really well together and I have to say that it's definitely one of the best vampire stories in the anime&manga genre that I have read.

My initial interest to read this manga sparked from the fact that Platinum End has the same artist and author as Death Note. A series that is arguably one of the most popular and most liked Manga series of all time.
As you can imagine my expectations were quite high when I started reading this one. I have to get this out here as fast as I can: Platinum End is in no way similar to Death Note! In the beginning you might find some similarities like how both MCs have some supernatural being as a companion and godlike powers to change the world but the whole atmosphere ...

So I wanted to spend some BL quality time and gave this anime a try.
At first I wasn't too sure if I would really watch this to the end or if I would rather stop halfway because the plot would just be too boring and annoying, but to my surprise Kono Danshi, Ningyo Hiroimashita turned out to be one of the best shounen ai series that I watched up until now! I have to say this Anime is a real MUST WATCH!!
In my point of view everybody including magical girl hater will love this anime to death!! So at first this anime begins really boring and just like any other magical girl anime but soon the real plot begins to unfold.. A story that centers around a girl called Madoka and her potential of becoming a mahou shoujo but this story isn't all about dokidoki heart pounds and cupcakes or something,it is rather dark and mature. It provokes you to reflect each episode by yourself.. What I really have to mention is, that I just love the characters so much.. especially ... |
