For Ashita no Joe, would you recommend the anime or the manga for the best experience? My only problem with the anime is the audio quality which hasn't aged well at all.

Hey, I see that you're already more than halfway through Joe, and I wanted to give you some advice before its too late. If you didn't know already, everything that comes after episode 54 in Joe 1 is also covered in Joe 2, so you might want to skip the last 25 episodes. I haven't seen them myself, but every Joe fan I've talked to told me that it's full of fillers, has an alternate and that the Joe 2 adaption is far superior. Watching the rest of Joe 1 will also spoil the events that happen in the first part of Joe 2, which were my favourite part of all of Ashita no Joe. In the end its up to you how you are gonna watch it, all I can say is that im glad that I skipped the rest of Joe 1.
