The plot of the stories are completely different but the simularties between the characters Yagami Light and Lamperouge Lelouch are uncanny as they are ordinary students untill they come into contact with a supernatural power that they use to change the world in the name of justic they are both incredibly intelligent and both hide there identities behind the masks of Zero and Kira. There rivals prove to be a difficult match but have or gain a close relationship with their enemies.

Both of these anime contain a group of girls which fly though the sky with the help of new techology with the intention of helping people and the destruction of an alien force which threatens to destroy the world. Sky girls is more serious while Strike Witches has more of an comedy element and includes the use of magic.

If you liked Maria-sama ga Miteru add

...then you might like Strawberry Panic add

Put simplly, both of these anime are about school life in an all girls catholic school, both of the main charaters are new students and have an admiration for their senior which leads as the main narrative structure and share simular personality traits. There is a noticeable yuri theme but only Strawberry Panic takes it further than friendship whereas Marmite seems to centralise more around a school life theme.
