This anime and setting is absolutely horrible and immoral. I'll say it again, the "little witch academia" anime is the worst anime in the history of mankind. I thought the worst anime in the world was "guyver". But it turns out, there's a person who made an anime that's much more bad and immoral than "guyver" - the author of the OVA and the "little witch academia" anime.
I don't even know where to begin. I don't know what the author of the "little
...
witch academia" setting worked on for three years, after releasing the disgusting OVA (the first anime movie) based on the "little witch academia" setting - no "error work" was done. But, in the "little witch academia" anime, compared to the first "academia" OVA, there are more angles from below Akko, with Akko's short miniskirt and Akko's crotch between her legs, which is thankfully in shadow. It feels like it took at least 1\3 of the anime budget to draw out Akko's miniskirt and her space below. And by the way, Akko is the only witch apprentice who wears a very short miniskirt. The author of "academia", instead of coming up with a good and interesting main character, is brazenly speculating on aggressive fanservice. It's repulsive and dishonest.
How did the "academia" setting even get a "G", "+0", "child, family" age rating if Akko looks like a girl of easy virtue and acts like a complete hypocrite, psychopath, and sadist! The "academia" setting should be given an age rating of +16 for at least all parts of the "little witch academia" setting - the anime, the manga, the ranobe and all the OVAs! That would be fair at the very least!
The entire first season of "little witch academia" - which is basically the same first OVA where Akko brutally kills the Ancient Dragon (Magic-Eating Dragon), only this OVA is stretched out over 25 episodes - the finale of the "academia" anime is the same as the OVA where a super-dragon dies, with two super-dragons - one in 24 episodes and then another in episode 25. And both of these monsters die as brutally as the Ancient Dragon in the OVA "academia" finale - the monsters essentially swallow Akko's super-arrow, which burns the monsters from the inside out, causing the nearly invincible dragons to inflate into huge balloons and burst, dying in horrible agony... It's very brutal.
Moreover, some of the angles and mini-episodes, in the final "fight" against the Dragon-Rocket, from episode 25, are literally taken from the final "fight", and in fact, the brutal killing of a completely helpless and not scary Ancient Dragon from the OVA. About the disgusting drawing in 24-25 series of the anime "academia" and do not want to talk - Dragon-Rocket from 25 series and rod super-dragon Croix from 24 series, are drawn in the same way as the Ancient Dragon from the OVA - shoddily, crookedly, with a clear violation of anatomy and breaking the limbs of the unfortunate monsters - the author of the setting brazenly speculates on the emotions of the viewer and does everything possible so that the viewer was not sorry for the monsters-opponents of Akko.
The anime "little witch academia" (Just like the first OVA) begins with a "very funny" scene - killing an innocent monster. On the orders of the witch Shiny Chariot, a giant black and red monster appeared at the finale of Shiny's magic show. On Shiny's orders, the monster "ate" the illusions of the white butterflies. The monster didn't even attack Shiny or threaten anyone! But Shiny shot the innocent monster with a magic arrow, which the monster swallowed. Shiny's super arrow burned the monster from the inside out, causing the monster to inflate into a huge ball and burst, dying in horrifying agony. White illusion butterflies flew out of the monster's bursting belly. Is this how sadistic Shiny and the witches of the witch academy show their goodness to everyone?! Torturing innocent monsters to death?!
Everything about this setting is bad. The main character of the "academia", Akko is the most hypocritical, cruel, and amoral version of "Harry Potter" in the world. There is absolutely nothing good about the "little witch academia" setting and the relevant evidence appears already in the first episode of this anime.
In the first episode of the anime "little witch academia", a witch apprentice, a human named "Susie" tries to kill Akko. A little later, Susie tries to kill Akko and Lotta, another witch apprentice. But Akko still tries to befriend Susie, who, before that, tried to kill Akko twice! And Akko befriends Susie! So there's a "power of friendship" in the "witch academia" setting?
Why doesn't Akko's "power of friendship" work on opposing monsters? Because they're monsters? But that's extremely cruel and hypocritical. Why doesn't Akko try to befriend the monsters that oppose Akko? And Akko's opposing monsters often don't even try to hurt Akko. On the contrary, it is Akko who tortures to death, in fact, innocent monsters-opponents!
Why is Akko a sadist, a maniac, and a hypocrite? Why does Akko want to be friends with people who are openly trying to kill Akko (Example: Susie), but Akko never even tries to be friends with, or at least PREVENT these poor, innocent monsters?! (Because the author of "witch academia" is an untalented and immoral director) Examples: the Ancient Magic Eating Dragon from the first OVA (first anime movie) of "academia" or the dragon Croix from the 24th episode of the "academia" anime - both of these monsters are tortured to death by Akko. Although there was no danger from these two monsters to Akko!
Already from the first series of the anime "little witch academia" stinks disgusting hypocrisy, bloodthirstiness and cruelty: "little witch academia", already in the first series tries to destroy logic, common sense and humanism. Is this the good that the anime industry teaches the viewer? It's not good, it's evil.
And of course, I'll be sure to point out the fact that the "little witch academia", is a bad version of the "Harry Potter" setting. All the ideas of the original, "Harry Potter," are twisted, killed and burned alive in the "little witch academia". Moreover, already in the first episode of the academia there is a Mandrake tree and a Basilisk monster, which Akko doesn't kill only thanks to a miracle (Probably, the budget of the first episode wasn't enough to show how Akko kills these creatures) - Mandrake and Basilisk, in the first episode of "academia", look like a brazen, cruel mockery of "Harry Potter" setting - as if "little witch academia" is trying to convince the viewer that "little witch academia" setting is better than "Harry Potter" setting. But it isn't. There is absolutely nothing good in the "little witch academia" setting, and the witch-apprentices of the academia, including Akko, are absolute hypocrites, scum and sadists, if you think about their actions, and defeat the aggressive fanservice, with the help of which the author of "little witch academia" brazenly and unscrupulously tries to make the viewer undeservedly sympathize with Akko and other witch-apprentices, because Akko has the shortest miniskirt among the witch-apprentices and the "camera" often shows the space between Akko's legs, which, fortunately, is in the shadows - the author of the setting does everything to make the viewer, through manipulation of his lower instincts, undeservedly sympathize with Akko, because Akko has nothing else - neither kindness nor compassion - only hypocrisy, imitation of kindness, meanness, ruthlessness and cruelty.
The supposed threat of "destroying the world" supposedly threatened by the witch Croix is a trivial deception in the story, because her entire "threat", Croix's rod super-dragon was easily destroyed by Akko's single super-arrow. It's just a shame to boast of Akko's invincibility, which is never challenged in any way. Akko is the worst role model ever.
Unlike Croix, all the other witches from the "little witch academia" are extremely dangerous, hundreds of times more dangerous than any monster of the setting. If only because the witches from the academia can, like the evil telepath Yuri from the game "Red Alert 2", change the minds of all the people of the planet - in the last 25th episode of the anime "little witch academia" Akko and the witches of the academia used a spell that supposedly "made all people happy" - in fact, Akko and the witches of the academia's spell destroyed the free will of the entire population of planet Earth, making people all over the world undeservedly fan of the witches from the Little witch academia!
Evil telepath Yuri from "Red Alert 2" gives the witches of the academia a standing ovation - Akko and the witches of the academia are the worthy heirs to the evil telepath Yuri, who sought to seize control of the minds of the people of the world. And in the first season finale of the "academia" anime, the academia witches essentially did what Yuri himself wanted to do in "Red Alert 2" - deprive the people of the entire world of free will and reason...
Is this the good that the anime industry teaches?! Well no, the world doesn't need cruel, amoral and bloodthirsty witch characters and the equally cruel, amoral and bloodthirsty Akko from little witch academia!
And that was the prologue of the review. Now I'll get to the specific points of criticism.
1. The blatant Immorality of the main character Akko (Atsuko).
Akko is an extremely immoral character if you think about what she does. Akko is a sadistic, maniacal, psychotic woman who tortures opposing monsters to death (Example - Ancient Dragon from the OVA) and never spares them. Akko is a talentless, envious, hypocritical, selfish and hyperactive inadequate fool who goes over people's heads and monsters corpses to her selfish dream of becoming the greatest witch in the world, while destroying the fates of hundreds of monsters (who are no threat to her) and dozens of people whose character the author literally breaks over his knee so that these people-characters suddenly, completely unmotivated, become Akko's fans (Example - Diana).
That said, Croix, the "villain" of the first season, also has the same dream as the akko - to become the greatest witch in the world. But for some reason, Croix's dream is passed off as evil by the setting's author, and the same dream of Akko is passed off as good. It's a horrifying hypocrisy.
Croix, unlike akko, didn't even kill the monsters as far as I remember. Even her rod super-dragon that attacked Croix at the end of episode 24, Croix didn't kill it, even though she could have built a bomb into the rod super-dragon's belly beforehand so that the rod super-dragon would burst when it "became uncontrollable". Like those monster-opponents of the akko that the akko kills with the cruelest "inflate and burst monster" fetish, forcing those poor monster-opponents to swallow the akko's super-arrow, which slowly explodes in their belly or other body part and slowly inflates and burns the monster-opponent from the inside out, inflicting unimaginable torment on it. The unfortunate monster then bursts, dying in even more horrific agony. Is this how the aftor of the setting "academia of little witches", shows us the kindness of akko? Even the guyver sho, from the "guyver" setting, did not torture monster opponents HATEFULLY cruel.
2. Totally formulaic, hypocritical and amoral witch characters.
Basically, all the witches of the academia (Except Croix), are evil, cruel, hypocritical sadists who enjoy torturing monsters to death. The witches are constantly lying to each other, cheating, hypocritical, framing, even betraying. Witches are constantly lying to each other, cheating, hypocritical, setting each other up, even betraying each other. Witch students literally kill each other in classes at the witch academia. And the teachers absolutely don't care.
If you think about what the witch-characters from the academia are doing and set aside the intentionally disgustingly sweet attractive appearance of the local witches and witch students (And also aggressive fanservice on the part of the "academia" author to cloud the viewers' minds and make the viewer sympathize only with the witch-characters, except for Croix), it turns out that the witch academia is a breeding ground for psychopathic maniacs, lunatics and sadists. It's the Academia of Evil. Croix is the only adequate witch here, who at the very least hasn't gotten dirty in torturing opposing monsters to death. At least, I don't remember that happening, on her part.
Diana, who could have become, together with Lotte, the voice of reason, time after time stopping Akko, at least from deliberately cruel and unjustified killing of monsters, simply destroyed by the author literally at once and turned into empty, eternal sycophants Akko, who can only admire her disgusting "feats". Akko is more of a super-villain.
The hypocrisy of the "little witch academy" witches is a whole other topic of conversation. to talk about. First of all, it's worth mentioning the fact that the witches at the academy know the language of animals and even dragons, but for some reason, in the OVA, the witches never tried to negotiate with the Ancient Magic Eating Dragon and resolve their conflict with him peacefully.
In the anime plot and the "academy" setting, just like in the OVA, there's still a dungeon with monsters under the Luna Nova Tower. Why why would the supposedly good witches need a monster dungeon? It's a dungeon where the witches at the academy to teach treasure-hunting classes and torture to death the innocent the dungeon's monsters, who are essentially the witches slaves.
In the anime "little witch academia", as well as the OVA, features a magic show by the witch Shiny Chariot. The sadistic Shiny, in the finale of her magic show, MUST brutally kill a monster, who doesn't attack Shiny, but Shiny kills the monster anyway - Shiny shoots it at the slave monster with a magical super-arrow - the monster swallows the super-arrow, the super-arrow burns the monster from the inside out, causing the unfortunate monster to inflate into an into a giant balloon and bursts, dying in horrible agony. That's how the witches at the "little witch academia" show their kindness, even in the final magic show, by torturing the monster to death?! The witches of the the "little witch academia", including Shiny, are vile, ruthless, sadistic hypocrites.
And of course, I am obliged to point out the very obvious hypocrisy of the witches, which has to do with the white dragon Fafnir, from the fifth episode of the "academia" anime. A similar episode with Fafnir was also in the "academia" manga. Fafnir literally ruins, with his appearance, all the fake goodness of the witches of "academia of little witches", which the author of the "academia of witches" setting tries his best to shove down the viewer's throat in order to make the viewer undeservedly fan the witches of the academia.
The "little witch academia" setting is a degraded version of the "Harry Potter" setting, but also a copy of the D&D setting (In the D&D setting - ALL red dragons are always evil "because evil" and white dragons are always good "because good."), only with sadistic witches from the "witches academia".
This is why the white dragon Fafnir, who is essentially the super-villain of the "witch academia" setting, the author of the "witch academia" setting tries to justify it in every way possible. Maybe the white dragon Fafnir is the "academia" author's cameo? Is that why the author passes off the evil white dragon Fafnir as a good character?
Let me remind you, the witches of the academia killed and tortured to death a Red Ancient Dragon-magic eater in the "little witch academia" OVA only because the Dragon wanted to steal and eat a witch stone from the "luna nova" tower. The Ancient Dragon himself did not kill anyone! Ancient Dragon was a prisoner of the witches of the academia, the witches of the academia imprisoned Ancient Dragon when Ancient Dragon was still a baby dragon, just because Ancient Dragon can absorb magic, the witches of the academia only want to absorb magic themselves, and "the rest of us are forbidden" - that's basically what the witches of the academia think. And when the Dragon was able to break out of his imprisonment, the Ancient Dragon only defended himself against the witches, who always attacked the dragon first! The Ancient Dragon didn't deserve to die!
Although the white dragon Fafnir is WAY more dangerous than the Ancient Dragon from the OVA: the dragon Fafnir is an evil, cruel, mean hypocritical dragon who outright threatened to eat the students of the witches academia. Fafnir possesses an army of robots that the witch academia can destroy. Fafnir blackmailed the "little witch academia" with a large sum of money - mythical interest on a contract between the witches academia and Fafnir, which was not in the terms of the contract! Even the LORE of the "academia" setting explicitly states that "According to the legends, Fafnir is known as one of the fiercest dragons." That is, the witches of the witch academia are directly cooperating with the evil white dragon Fafnir, the ultimate evil! And they're taking loans from the evil dragon! And for some reason the witches don't kill the evil dragon Fafnir - even though he is Absolute Evil! There is nothing good in the witches of the academia! Only evil, cruelty, hypocrisy and genocide of innocent monsters.
Another hypocrisy of the witches from the witches academia is shown very clearly in the same fifth episode of the anime "little witch academia", where the white dragon Fafnir appeared - without the witch stone in the tower "luna nova" witches can live and sorcery, although in the LORE of the witches academia is written just the opposite. Somehow, outside of the witches' academia, the witches apprentice witches magic works - it was through magic that the apprentice witches attacked Fafnir's dragon lair, burned alive all the dragons guarding Fafnir's lair, infiltrated Fafnir's lair, and tried to kill Fafnir himself. Too bad the dragon Fafnir, the only one of the dragons of the "little witch academia" setting who deserved to die, was saved from death by the academia's witch directress. The real ending of this fifth episode of the "little witch academia" anime should have been very different - the white dragon Fafnir should have swallowed the Akko super-arrow, inflated into a huge bubble and burst, exploded, burned to death and died in horrific agony - that is, the white dragon Fafnir should have died in the same way that the essentially innocent Ancient Magic Eating Dragon of died in the final OVA of "little witch academia".
All monster opponents of the academia witches, except for the white dragon Fafnir (Because Fafnir is essentially Absolute Evil, with whom the academia witches cooperate), die deliberately brutal deaths and no one mercy them - for the witches of the "academia", almost shouting at every corner that they, witches, humanists and supporters of balance, such ruthlessness is blatant sadism and hypocrisy. Moreover, all of these local witches are deliberately, to the point of disgust, slavishly drawn, which only adds to their hypocrisy and cruelty even more disgusting. And the local witch students literally kill each other in class. Is this the good that the anime industry teaches? Well no, the world doesn't need such evil witch characters that the author of the "academia" setting passes off as good characters. Although these witches are not, in fact, good. My idol is the Ancient Magic Eating Dragon from the "little witch academia" OVA. At least Ancient Dragon honest and humane. And, unlike the witches of the "academia", the Ancient Dragon didn't kill anyone.
3. Amoral central idea of the "little witch academia" setting.
"Believe in magic (superpower) and you'll have it" is an extremely Immoral, cruel and disgusting "idea" that destroys the entire "setting" of the academia. Akko's immense willpower is an extremely repulsive plot construct, precisely because this "willpower" literally allows Akko to get anything he wants just by wishing for it. Akko herself doesn't put any effort into achieving her goal - wished for the most valuable prize in the dungeon lesson from the OVA - and there she is, immediately finding the most powerful magical rod. Dana herself bows at the feet of Akko and "asks her to shipp". Akko wished to kill the invincible Ancient Dragon that consumes magic, who has not even killed anyone and does not deserve to die - and Akko killed him, torturing to death an innocent Ancient monster, creating "by force of will" the most powerful magical super-arrow, from which the Innocent Dragon-eater of magic, having swallowed it, inflated and burst like a balloon! And the Innocent Ancient Dragon died in Horrible agony! Why?! And the akko, along with the author and the other witches, laughed at the Innocent Dragon's horrible death... And so it is with almost all of the monsters that oppose the akko. Except for the hideous white dragon Fafnir, because he's an actual super-villain!
It's just Loathsome, Disgusting, Humiliating, and Immoral - all of akko's problems are solved either by brutal, sadistic killing of poor and often innocent monsters (Like the Ancient Dragon from the OVA) or by physical and psychological abuse of humans (Because akko has super-powers and they don't).
Akko is the worst character in human history. And her place is at the bottom of history and at the top of super villains.
What Akko's character teaches is to solve all your problems by killing (And deliberately sadistic and cruel) and to want a completely undeserved super-power, "Because you are chosen (By whom?)"
Given the amoral qualities of the akko, she was clearly chosen by the entire foursome of evil Chaos gods from "Warhammer 40000". Too bad the author of "academia" didn't think of this plot twist - it would have explained a lot.
4. "Humor" in "little witch academia".
The humor in "little witch academia" is disgusting. It can't even be called humor. How can you even call it humor... But let me get to the point.
The main theme of "humor" in the setting in "little witch academia" is the cruel, sadistic and bloodthirsty deaths of enemy monsters. The witch characters sometimes laugh at the deaths of these monsters, and the director of the setting tries to make the horribly violent deaths of the monsters of the "academia" look like a funny joke, especially the deaths of those monsters that Akko kills. Recall that Akko shoots enemy monsters with a super-arrow that, when it hits any part of the monster's body, burns the enemy monster from the inside out, causing the unfortunate monster to inflate and burst, dying in horrific, unimaginable agony. That's not goodness! This is sadism!
The vast majority of the monsters in the setting that confront Akko don't deserve to die, if only because they're not good enough to be killed. The vast majority of the monsters of the setting that oppose Akko don't deserve to die - if only because those monsters don't even attack Akko, they just stand there and stare at her. Like the same Croix rod super-dragon from episode 24. But Akko kills them anyway, torturing the opposing monsters to death. Who don't stand a chance of surviving Akko's attack.
Another theme of "humor" in "Academia of Little Witches" is the theme of drug addiction - for example, the witch Susie, a psychotic maniac best friend of Akko, essentially cooks up drugs that she herself uses. And apparently Susie gives it to the other student witches to try... That's why they're violent. Moreover, in one of the episodes of the first season, Susie got so high on her drugs that Susie started hallucinating - Susie imagined herself as "Alice in Wonderland". Drug addict Susie and her hallucinations - is that supposed to be funny? As the "plot" of the anime progresses, Susie doesn't try to reform - Susie remains a drug addict and a sadist. That said, Susie is best friends with Akko, the main character of the "academia". Since Akko's best friend is the maniacal drug addict-psychopath Susie, Akko herself is just as amoral, obviously.
The next theme of "humor" in "little witch academia" is that many of the witches in the witch academia, including the teachers, literally humiliate themselves in front of Akko, constantly Akko is forgiven for all of Akko's misdeeds, cheating, and misconduct. Even if Akko is framing other students and violating direct orders from the teachers to stay out of the danger room - Akko will still break all orders because she wants even more superpowers and wants to become the greatest witch in the world. Akko's absolute selfishness and the local witches' attempts to placate Akko in every way possible by reinforcing her selfishness is just disgusting. Akko essentially never gets punished for her actions. No matter what Akko does - the witches at the academia, overwhelmingly, will always be enamored with Akko's actions. It's repulsive, disgusting, and unfair. If the witch academia were a normal school, Akko would be kicked out of it after the third rule violation. But, the setting of "little witch academia" is not about fairness, so the witch-teachers and even the students forgive Akko for all her, in essence, evil deeds - cheating, framing, cheating, breaking the rules, breaking the rules of spellcasting, disobeying the teachers.
A special theme of "humor" in "little witch academia" is Diana's inadequate friendly and then not-so-friendly love for Akko, and completely undeserved. Even Shiny, who was trying to be adequate, is essentially trying to confess her love to Akko. Is that supposed to be funny?! It's just disgusting. The problem isn't just the hints of Shiny and Diana's "shipp" relationship with Akko - the problem is that Akko doesn't deserve this maximum level of bigotry from Diana and Shiny! But when you consider that Akko is the "Chosen One" with the shining rod, well... The situation doesn't get any more appropriate than that.
5. Akko is the "Chosen One".
The plot twist where the main character is the "Chosen One" of a "higher power" is a pretty common trope. But in "little witch academia" this stamp is taken to its maximum absurdity, and it's absolutely not funny! After all, Akko did absolutely nothing to be chosen as the bearer of the most powerful magical and apparently the only reasonable rod in the world of the "academia" - the "shining rod". But, given Akko's low moral character, I doubt that - the "shining rod" is reasonable. After all, in essence, Akko only got the shining rod for wanting to be the strongest witch in the world, in the first series. Why is Akko so lucky?! Don't the other apprentice witches want to become the strongest witches in the world?! What's so idiotic about Akko being "chosen"?
And how does Akko harness the power of the super rod? Torturing monsters to death, cheating on classes and exams, using rod magic to cheat and frame other witch students, disobeying teachers orders with rod magic, and doing whatever she, Akko, wants. And the other witches start to become increasingly undeservedly fanatical about Akko - she's the "chosen one"!
When did the status of "chosen" become the main character's right to do whatever she wants? I will remind that the same Neo from the movie "The Matrix" proved his status of the chosen one for the whole movie. And Akko got her "chosen" status without doing anything to get her "chosen" status! It's Immoral and disgusting - when a main character gets a superpower completely undeserved - because Akko doesn't have even the smallest justification for the fact why she is worthy of the superpower rod. And Akko is not worthy of the superpower.
6. Graphics and editing.
Deliberately garish and overly bright graphics in the moments with witches and deliberately crookedly drawn monster-opponents of witches so that the audience wouldn't feel sorry for them - that's how terrible the graphics in this anime are. It's painful to look at the disgustingly sweetly drawn witches - their perpetual rotten smiles when necessary and not necessary - make you want to turn off the anime. But it's even more painful to look at the opposing monsters in "little witch academia" - the anime, as well as the OVAs and manga, features broken anatomy of the opposing monsters so that the audience, I repeat, does not feel sorry for the monsters. It's hypocritical and cruel, especially because the enemy monsters are often NO threat to the witches (e.g. the black monster in the finale of the Shiny Chariot magic show in the first episode of the anime) and are essentially victims of the witches.
And the jagged editing of the anime episodes only makes the graphics in the anime worse - the editing in some places is so inept that it's unclear what's going on in the episode at all.
Bottom line:
The entire "plot" of the OVA, anime, manga, and ranobe "little witch academia" is a set of primitive stamps, sadism and hypocrisy of the main character Akko, aggressive fanservice, and, of course, giant plot holes the size of a galaxy.
The setting of "little witch academia" is an absolutely AMORAL fanservice thrash that should be ridiculed, cruelly spoofed, humiliated, trampled on, and forgotten like a terrible dream.

The "little witch academy" OVA (first movie) anime is the worst OVA in the history of the world, and the "little witch academy" anime is the worst anime in the history of mankind. I thought the worst anime in the history of the world was "guyver". But it turns out, there is a person who made an anime that is much more bad and immoral than "guyver" - the author of the "little witch academy" OVA and anime. The author of the "little witch ... academy" OVA, as well as the "little witch academy" franchise itself, is an completely untalented director and screenwriter who can't come up with anything for an anime plot besides the disgusting "monsters and red dragons are always evil" template, in fact. That is, the author of "little witch academy" seems to have decided to simply repeat the D&D setting, but added immoral and violent teenage witches who torture monsters to death - because that's the easiest thing a director and screenwriter can do. And the fact that his very primitive and amoral OVA "little witch academy", as well as the franchise itself "little witch academy" - very many people like it, says only that mankind has no future, and morality and virtue forever left mankind. The only characters you want to sympathize with in the OVA and anime "little witch academy" are the monsters and the "villain" Croix. Croix's motivation is to get superpowers like akko (Atsuko). BUT: the author makes Croix look bad for wanting to get superpowers. But for some reason, the author makes the talentless and violent psychopathic maniac teenager Akko, who tortures monsters to death, look good - Akko can somehow get superpowers simply because Akko wanted to KILL a super-monster. Although, obviously, there's nothing that akko did to earn the superpower! Basically, akko is Absolute Evil. Akko doesn't have a single positive side. Croix, on the other hand, does have some positives. At least Croix doesn't tend to kill monsters, unlike akko. Plus, Croix has positive attributes - it's hardworking, diligent, polite, and basically a genius... The only thing I don't like about Croix is that she creates artificial monsters. If she didn't do that (Or if the creatures Croix creates weren't like living monsters, but like golems) - Croix would be a very compelling character. Croix deserved at least some superpower, unlike the amoral and cruel, ruthless akko. Where is the JUSTICE in the "academy" storyline? There is no justice here. Croix is the only adequate witch in the entire "little witch academy" franchise. The very fact that Croix does not want to kill monsters, unlike the other "good" witches of the academy, proves that Croix is much more deserving of superpowers than the evil, stupid, envious, lazy, untalented and cruel sadistic witch Akko, who got superpowers for nothing - just because Akko wanted superpowers and got them, absolutely undeservedly! Therefore, it is the akko that is the world level threat, not the monsters. Because the akko mercilessly and mercilessly kills ANY monster opponents (Even monsters of divine power level) with a single blow, and tortures those monster opponents to death - because the akko shoves its super-arrow into the belly or head of helpless monster opponents. After that, the unfortunate monster-opponents of the akko slowly inflate into huge living balloons and burst, dying in terrible agony, while simultaneously burning from the inside. And no monster can, in fact, not even attack the akko - because the akko has "story armor" that allows the akko to do any evil deeds. Akko is not good. Acre is Absolute Evil. Akko better be the main villain of the "little witch academy". That's the one thing that Akko definitely deserves. I especially want to mention my favorite character in the OVA: Ancient Dragon. Ancient Dragon is a very tragic character who didn't deserve to die. Even more so, the Ancient Dragon didn't deserve the horrible agonizing death that Akko (Atsuko) condemned him to. Just think about the plot of the OVA: So, according to the plot of the "little witches academy" OVA, the ancient witches imprisoned the baby dragon (This is official canon, by the way), just because he was, THEORETICALLY, a threat to them (The dragon was a magic absorber, and the witches at the witches academy are known to only want to absorb magic themselves - the witches sorcerer's crystal, in the moon tower, does nothing but absorb magic). The official canon is the Ancient Dragon prequel from the OVA: "This Briton Red Dragon (Ancient Dragon) has been imprisoned for a long time deep within cavernous systems beneath New Moon Tower's dungeons, locked up within a cursed iron maiden which rumored to be designed for draining witches of their blood. Said iron maiden is also covered with tapes with runes all over them as an additional measure to keep it trapped while preventing it from aging at the same time, possibly because witches who responsible for the dragon's imprisonment at that time has yet to develop a spell strong enough to fatally overload its system and thus resorted to do so while it's still a baby to prevent the worst). And the ancient witches imprisoned Ancient Dragon - dragon-child in a magical prison, in the form of "iron maiden" (medieval instrument of torture), dooming the dragon-child to a slow death from hunger, as well as to eternal torment in darkness, fear and loneliness, just because the Ancient Witches did not like the dragon-child. And why couldn't the Ancient Dragon dragon-child have been RE-EDUCATE? Why condemn the baby dragon to eternal torment?! After such a horrible crime by the Ancient Witches and the abuse of an innocent baby dragon who did nothing wrong to anyone, all the witches from the "witch academy" cannot be considered good characters - all the witches of the academy are Absolute Evil, because they all supported both the Ancient Witches with their plan to imprison an innocent baby dragon, and supported the idea of KILLING an innocent magic-eating dragon (Ancient Dragon)." Let me remind you: The witches from the "witch academy" could just negotiate with the Ancient Dragon (Just as these hypocritical witches negotiated with the white dragon)!! There are magicians among the witches who know the language of dragons (this is the official canon!!!). Why would an ancient dragon be sealed in a prison and left to slowly die for centuries?! It's just sadism! Then, in the OVA "academy" the unfortunate and innocent Ancient Dragon "awakens", grows up at the expense of magic, because the dragon, of course, was hungry (At the same time, the magic-eating dragon itself did not kill anyone in the OVA, but only defended itself from the evil witch-disciples and teachers of the academy of witches, The sadistic witch apprentice witch Susie even poisoned the magic-eating dragon with deadly magic poison - the sadistic witch apprentice witch Susie's poison melts ordinary monsters alive and literally flattens and tears them to pieces, causing the unfortunate monsters to die in horrible agony!). In the end, Akko (Atsuko) kills the Ancient Dragon very brutally, essentially shoving the equivalent of a nuclear bomb into his stomach - A super-arrow that also explodes slowly to torture the monster victim for as long as possible. The exploding super-arrow akko caused the hapless and innocent Ancient Dragon to slowly inflate and burst. At the same time, the Ancient Dragon burned from the inside out, and the Ancient Dragon's limbs, including the neck and tail, melted, becoming thin as if the muscles had been sucked out of them. And I'm sure the Ancient Dragon was in a hell of a lot of pain! Why did the author of the OVA essentially savor the Ancient Dragon's horrible torment?!?!? That's not good. The good is the fact that the Ancient Dragon from the OVA didn't deserve to die! Because the Ancient Dragon from the OVA "academy" is the ONLY truly good character (Not counting the dungeon monsters that even attacked the witch apprentices). And I don't care about the opinion of the amoral and untalented author of this OVA, who couldn't think of anything better for the plot of his pilot project OVA "little witches academy" than another formulaic, immoral, stupid, primitive and cruel "plot" about another "evil monster". I truly feel sorry for the Ancient Dragon from the OVA, who was tortured to death by sadistic Atsuko, and for absolutely NOTHING! What's more, atsuko and the author of the Academy OVA also LAUGHED at the horrible and very cruel death of the Ancient Dragon from the OVA - fireworks flew out of the belly of the poor Ancient Dragon who burst! This is just disgusting!!! It's the height of immorality to laugh at the deaths of opposing monsters. And for that, the akko deserves to be destroyed by its own exploding super-arrow. The Ancient Dragon from the OVA could have been defeated in a hundred ways - and not killed. But the untalented author of the "academy" OVA decided to torture the essentially innocent Ancient Dragon to death because, unfortunately, many children and teenagers (the target audience of the "little witch academy" OVA) enjoy watching the violent and sadistic and bloody deaths of monster-characters... That's not good! And akko (atsuko) is Absolute Evil in an attractive wrapper. Akko is an evil, cruel, vindictive, vindictive, vindictive, selfish, envious, lazy, ruthless fool who tortures opposing monsters to death - Akko inflates and bursts opposing monsters, burning them from the inside out! And akko has not spared a single enemy monster! akko absolutely does not deserve SUPER POWER! And let me remind you: in essence, Atsuko has GENOCIDEED an entire species of dragon - magic-eating dragons, one of which was the Ancient Dragon from the "little witch academy" OVA. Since magic-eating dragons never appeared anywhere else in the anime series, it should be assumed that the Ancient Dragon from the "little witch academy" OVA was the LAST member of the magic-eating dragon species. And the akko committed genocide on this unique species of dragon, as it KILLED, brutally killed the last magic-eating dragon. This is not a good thing!!! The "little witch academy" anime OVA is a violent amoral "children's family" OVA. If people sincerely call this OVA a children's family cartoon, it only means that humanity has no morals and conscience anymore. The "little witch academy" anime OVA is absolutely disgusting and immoral if you think about the "plot" of this vile sadistic OVA. And the whole "plot" consists of huge plot holes the size of a galaxy! What was the dragon doing in the dungeon? Why wasn't the dragon's prison guarded in any way? Why did the ancient witches leave the ancient dragon-child to SLOWLY DIE, for centuries, in a horrible sarcophagus prison??! Couldn't the ancient witches have humanely killed the Ancient Dragon-child???? Why such cruelty to a completely innocent Ancient Dragon from the OVA????? Why supposedly good witches from the "little witch academy" need a dungeon with dangerous monsters?????? If reasoned logically, the witches from the witches academy are evil because the academy witches torture the monsters in the dungeon to death. The fact that the academy witches "train" on living dungeon monsters, including the captured Ancient Dragon, and brutally kill them is Immoral and it is bestiality. Only villains can commit such horrible atrocities. That's why all the witches in Witch Academy are super-villains, sadists, and psychopathic maniacs (Except Croix). And why was it akko who was able to find the super artifact in the dungeon? Some kind of incredible luck for a sadistic fool! Couldn't the other female students who visited the dungeon BEFORE akko have been able to find the idiotic magic wand-bow! I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!! Conspiracy theory time: Apparently, Akko only found the wand-bow because she was given the wand-bow to make Akko feel ELECTED! And the Ancient Dragon was suspiciously lucky to awaken just when Akko found the bow staff.... It was as if someone had purposely set up the dragon's awakening so that the acko would brutally torture the ancient, innocent dragon to death in order to gain "Mary Sue" status! That is, to become a super-amoral witch. In the "little witch academy" anime itself, the plot situation is no better. What in the head of this man who created such an immoral and cruel OVA "little witch academy", and then the anime "little witch academy"? No conscience, no honor. Once again, money has triumphed over goodness, conscience and morality. Definitely, Ancient Dragon from the OVA is the BEST character in this very cruel and bad franchise, "little witch academy". I'd really like someone to make a cartoon (Short Film) about the good Ancient Dragon, where he does get reborn and lives happily ever after - in a magical forest, "at the very edge of the world". As far away from those sadistic psychopaths from the "witch academy" as possible. If the author and fans of this horrible immoral "Little Witches Academy" OVA are truly convinced that the Ancient Dragon is a villain, just because the dragon absorbs magic, then all the witches in "Little Witches Academy" are Super-Villains, because the witches in the academy have a Sorcerer's Stone (which the Ancient Dragon wanted to eat), and this Sorcerer's Stone constantly EATS MAGIC and then distributes it to the witches in the academy, strengthening them. Therefore, the Ancient Dragon is NOT the villain. Exactly ALL the witches in the "little witches academy" (Except Croix) are Super-Villains who absorb magic, but forbid other creatures from absorbing magic, brutally killing them for doing so! All the witches from the "little witches academy" and the akko (Atsuko) are the Absolute Evil for the entire magical world and it is these witches that must be hated and fought against. And the Ancient Dragon is a real super-hero who was basically trying to save the world from the evil witches of the academy by depriving them of the ability to absorb magic, which would make those witches become regular humans. (And the dragon wouldn't have killed them anyway, because all he was doing the whole time was PROTECTING himself from the attacks of the evil witches of the academy) And again, it was the Ancient Dragon who didn't kill ANYONE! Which means that the real HERO of the OVA "academy" is the Ancient Dragon! And I don't care about the opinion of the author of this disgusting amoral cruel sadistic OVA. He is a completely talentless director and writer who doesn't know what is good and moral. And I really wish there was a brave person who would draw a comic about an Ancient Dragon who is reborn through his Willpower and successfully confronts the evil witches from the "little witch academy" who are trying to absorb all the magic of the world and enslave the entire world. Now that's a really GOOD plot for a good OVA and anime! The finale of the "little witch academy" OVA (first movie) caused me severe psychological trauma. Now I hate all anime (Except for a few). Now I realize that I didn't want to become a commercial fantasy author because of such immoral but unfortunately popular "plots" as in the "little witch academy" OVA. The OVA author had, in early OVA concept art, a different, truly kind ending for the "little witch Academy" OVA - where Akko (the main character) MERCY, DID NOT KILL the Ancient Dragon and flies it around the world. But - this good OVA finale by the "little witch academy" OVA's aficionado was destroyed in order to... So that once again, money defeated goodness, compassion and humanity. But you could make an original anime about witches, where the witches from the academy, for example, would not be engaged in the genocide of monsters, and peaceful settlement of conflicts between monsters and humans. And opposing them would be evil witches who are against monsters and humans coexisting peacefully. And instead of a dungeon, there would be, for example, a hospital for monsters (Accordingly, and the Ancient Dragon from the OVA would not need to be killed!). Such a story would be original, very kind, and completely new. And still, at the expense of merch, such a good version of "little witch academy" would pay off.

The "Dragon, Ie wo Kau" anime is one of the very few anime I've enjoyed. This anime has its flaws. But it has more pluses than minuses.
"Dragon, Ie wo Kau" is quite an original anime. The main character is a teenage dragon Letty, who although a dragon, but weak and cowardly, because of which he gets into various troubles. Letty was banished from his home for a big misstep, now Letty will be looking for a new home where he can be safe. However, Letty and other peaceful monsters want to kill evil people (Who hypocritically call themselves heroes) for trophies. So, the viewer is ... finally given a chance to see events from the side of the monsters, who here are the victims of the humans. It's fair and original. This anime also parodies the features of RPG games and makes references to them: the anime has typical RPG teams of human "heroes", references to the patterns and features of RPG games: for example, the presence of "loot" (Trophies), experience, character levels, classic RPG stamps like the demon king, etc. The bad thing is that the authors get too caught up in these references, which, over time, become too many, because of which they can start to get annoying and not funny. Another downside is the self-repetition. For example, the main character Letty keeps bumping into the same gang of human "heroes". It's too much of a coincidence. However, the anime authors drew a lot of episodic human "heroes". So the self-repeating with the same gang of "heroes" is a flaw in the original manga. If Letty had encountered the same gang of human "heroes" two or three times, it would be conventionally logical. But this gang follows Letty almost every episode and even finds Letty! This self-repeating with a gang of "heroes" starts to get very annoying after their third appearance. It feels like the author wanted to make a long-running joke with these scumbags, but obviously it didn't work out. The main character, the dragon Letty, hardly develops as a person. On the one hand, he learns to take responsibility, but on the other hand, the protagonist was a weak, cowardly dragon and remained so, at least at the end of the first season. And one more disadvantage of this anime - the anime shows a fantasy world of the Middle Ages, with magicians and dragons, but at the same time, in that world there are things from the 21st century of our reality. With modern things in the fantasy world there is a problem - their presence slightly destroys the credibility of the fictional world shown in this anime because the presence of these things is not explained in any way. I think the "Dragon, Ie wo Kau" anime is still a good anime - this anime has more pluses than minuses. Although, of course, it lacks a full-fledged and more elaborated storyline of confrontation with evil people-"heroes". But some jokes I liked: for example, the presence of wild people-"heroes" - a reference to the monster mobs from the games-RPG, attacking the settlements of people. And in the "Dragon, Ie wo Kau" anime, instead of monster mobs, there are wild human "heroes" who attack settlements of peaceful monsters. It's original and logical! The joke about Letty's dragon "snow dream" was funny too. Overall, the humor in this anime is adequate. It's very satisfying. I'm glad that "Dragon, Ie wo Kau" turned out to be a very original anime that features a large number of good monsters, and the main villains and enemies of the good monsters, according to the plot of this anime, are finally humans, not other monsters. I hope there will be more anime like this.
