Girl, 21, interested in video games, anime, reading, Star Wars, and other geek stuff.
As far as anime goes, my favorite genre is definitely psychological, as well as scif-fi, horror, thriller, and fantasy. I enjoy good comedy, romance, etc. as well.
I don't particularly care for mecha anime by itself, although I am not opposed to watching it if it is accompanied by a good plot. I am not really interested in ecchi, hentai, and most harem anime.
Regarding television other than anime, I enjoy... pretty much the same genres as I do in anime. I love psychological shows like The Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, Night Gallery, and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. I also enjoy general sci-fi shows such as Doctor Who, Farscape, Firefly, Star Trek, and so on. I also like the Marvel shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones) and certain crime shows like iZombie and Psych. I also love western animation such as Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, and so on. Oh, and my favorite comedy show is Parks and Rec.
Favorite video game series: Fallout, Dragon Age, Overwatch (add me on battle.net! I play on PC), Final Fantasy (VII in particular), Zelda, Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, Portal, KotOR, Pokémon, etc. etc..
How I got into anime: Technically my first anime was Speed Racer/MachGoGoGo, as my dad watched it as a kid and then showed it to me when I was growing up. But I count my "true" first anime experience (that I consciously understood as anime) as happening in late 2011. My cousin showed me Fruit's Basket and I really enjoyed it. I didn't really get "crazy" about anime until I watched Fullmetal Alchemist and then Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, though.
Regarding my thoughts on subbed vs. dubbed anime: Yes, I (sometimes) watch dubbed anime. Not exclusively; most of what I watch is subbed, because there are many great shows that either don't have dubs (including most currently airing ones), or have bad dubs. The vast majority of the shows I've seen, I watched subbed. But, I firmly believe that there is nothing wrong with watching a show in your native language so long as
a). The translation is loyal,
b). The voice actors fit the characters (and don't suck at acting),
c). The dub is not generally regarded to be terrible by everyone (e.g., Higurashi's dub)
As long as an anime's dub fulfills these qualities (assuming it even HAS a dub to begin with), then I may choose to watch the anime dubbed (although generally, I will still watch it subbed the first time through; I may re-watch it dubbed later).
Many shows' dubs are actually very, very good, a few examples being Fullmetal Alchemist (the original and Brotherhood), Cowboy Bebop, and Steins;Gate. In my list, I state in the tags of most shows whether I watched the show subbed or dubbed; often, I see bits of both, in which case I give my opinion on which is better (Often, I initially watch a show subbed, and then rewatch it later dubbed).
Regarding my rating system, I tend to rate on a mixture of plot, character development, personal enjoyment, and how revolutionary/groundbreaking/daring an anime is (for example, Madoka Magica's twist on a stereotypical "magical girl anime". Many other shows have tried to do this since then, but Madoka was one of the first to do it, and to actually pull it off, so it gets "bonus points" for that.)
Feel free to shoot me a message about any of these things, or whatever you'd like to talk about ^_^ like I said, I play a lot of video games, so if you play Overwatch/Fortnite/various other Steam games like Civilization V, I'm always looking for new friends to play with :). Hit me up and I'll add you on Discord or battle.net.

Never mind, it is always important to get the priorities right. *laughts*
Hope you're done rather splendidly.
BTW You just like me, actually. And I have this dream, about one day I would have enough time. )
After watching first few episodes it is very difficult to assess HxH, so I'm very curious what you would say after The Chimera Ant arc )
As for Koe no Katachi - i liked manga better too, but I liked to see main characters in motion, and i really like OST and OP ("My Generation").
I am very curious, what do you say about the Koe no Katachi adaptation.
Today i noticed in the feed you watch Kimi no Na Wa and was just about to ask you about the impressions.
I also really liked Kimi no Na Wa. Еxcept of one disputed point - of sake from the priestess :)
Can't wait Blu-Ray release.
Also can't wait Koe no Katachi.
What's really good gift. But why only 12 episodes?!
I hope you are well.
Nothing to worry about. Hope you're well.
We'll talk after you watch TTGL complitely.
P.S. TTGL is deceptive. Under the frivolous setting and parody genre, TTGL hides something more.
By the way, we have "War and Peace" is included in the school curriculum.
I do not know what to show you from Russian cartoons. The target audience of cartoons are children.
Of course now, "Masha and the Bear" is popular, but it is not the best example.
There are a lot of things with Disney-like animation. But now I will not advise you anything out of it.
I think you at least heard about the "Hedgehog in the Fog" Yuri Norstein cartoon?
It's not exactly a children's cartoon, it's a little unusual.
From not very old TV series here this - Kikoriki series (Smeshariki)
By the way. Here. It is interesting that you say about it ...
Just a wall of text )
I will answer a little later.
And by the way, l've wanted to ask you something. Did you watch any Russian cartoons?
It was nice. Really beautiful. Overall, I liked it. But i think this story is a bit lacking in depth.
Yes, the story of a father and daughter is very touching. The beginning was pretty good and even interesting, but then went to the Japanese variation on the theme of "she sad in isolation" standard way, focusing on simple and understandable emotions that are opposed to sound logic. In particular, for me, the concept lonely orbiting girls seems unlikely.
I hope, this music video is only promo to anime TV series or ONA.
PS Graphics are very good in Shelter. But the music, in my opinion, does not fit here.
Yup. And can't wait )
BTW. My favorite moment in TSR:
>Who knows, though?
Everything's possible.
