SHORT REVIEW - SPOILER FREE:

This movie is basically a longer Natsume Yuujinchou-episode with the same atmosphere and similar themes you might know from the Natsume episodes. If you don't know the Natsume main-series, it doesn't matter, since you could imagine this as a stand alone-movie too. I think, you'll understand everything that's going on and you could give yourself a first impression of the series. You are missing out Natsume's own character development, although you can watch the seasons after the movie to witness it. And it's beautiful! read more

INCLUDES SPOILER!

I have quite a lot to criticize, although I really liked and enjoyed the anime. I'll explain this in detail later on.
I think, the anime took the wrong path in the second cour. It should have stayed more of a character-centric story with two girls that found each other to follow their dream to make music and defeat their loneliness with each other's presence and some other people they meet. It also had too many characters it didn't use properly and too many half-assed themes.

First: The manga is written by the same mangaka as "Children of the Whales" and I really like this series as well. When I have seen the art of Children of the Whales, I thought ... I know this art style, I think!?

This is the kind of manga I want to write a review for, because everyone ignores its existence. At least, I'm getting this impression.
Unfortunately, there is a reason: I think, it should have become a longer series and I don't know the reason, but the series never had been continued anymore. Maybe, read more

ART

The art style is even more appealing to me in the manga than in the anime. In the anime, it looks good and fine, without a question, but here, I like that Haru is drawn in a little bit different style, which is a little bit less moe. Her head isn't so round like in the anime and she's looking a little bit more realistic here. I actually like read more

SHORT REVIEW

That's just a bunch of very short episodes of adorable daily life stories of couples.

What should I say? It's nothing outstanding because of the story or its characters.
There is also no deep character development, since it's difficult to do such things in short episodes with a length of 2 minutes.
Although they are still appearing as realistic, because they act in realistic ways. You might know similar situations yourself or other people, who act in similar ways.

All in all, these are just cute short episodes.

SHORT REVIEW - MIGHT INCLUDE MINOR SPOILER!

One shots are, of course, very short and it's difficult to craft a story and character development in one single chapter.
I'm usually reading them inbetween, if I need a short story to entertain myself. For example, today I got stucked in a train and read a few one shots. This was one of them.

The art was nice to look at and overall, I liked its style.

The premise was very interesting. You rarely see such unique premises.
Despite of the fact that the author only could use one chapter to tell a read more

ART & MUSIC

The art style is pretty average in my eyes. It looks neat and is nice to look at, but it's not something special to me. Especially the cats are well-drawn and look adorable. Except that, the faces look cute, maybe too sweet, it's a little bit Shoujo style and it's not my personal cup ot tea.
The colors are vibrant read more

ART & MUSIC

Personally, I really like the art style and color scheme. It's not too striking and shiny, but also not too grim dark. It looks pretty good and appealing in my eyes. The color tone fits the story content and plot very well and adds a lot to the atmosphere.

To me, the character design was outstanding and striking. I really liked similar character designs as well (for example Tegamibachi / Letter Bee) and they are very appealing to me. In Shigofumi, I liked that it's read more

Because the anime had been a while on my watch list, I finally found the time to watch it. That had been a few months ago and now, finally, I'm writing a review.
I only heard positive stuff about this anime, since I was looking for a darker Isekai with an interesting and twisted take on the setting. If you are also looking for such a setting, then this is might be an anime for you.
The setting and the premise behind the anime are excellent. Here, read more

"Do you want to accept this child, no matter what?"

This anime is criminally underrated and it feels like no one knows about it. I only got to know it through another user I know, who loves magical girls and coming of age-anime too and she recommended it to me. Then I looked here for Madoka Magica recs and found Uta Kata, decribed as a darker take on the magical girl-genre.
Sadly, this wasn't released in Europe either, like many other anime unfortunately had read more
