Hey buddy. Since I know we're Twitter mutuals I'm just curious.

Did I tell you I'm making an analysis on Makishima?
Nakamamonogatari May 1, 3:58 AM
Yeah, I can see some of that, even tho might not agree entirely with all of that. I only seen the Eva series once, and the movie 3 times, and I'm planning to rewatch it soon. Seen TTGL 3 times tho. I rarely rewatch something a lot of times, because 1. if I didn't like it's obvious why not, 2. if I adored it, then most of it is fresh in my mind for years, and only rewatch my favorite episodes for fun, 3. I just like to watch new stuff. So I really need that Eva rewatch ASAP to see everything you meant. But even if they won't have anything in common, they would still be my favorites for different reasons, connecting them 1 thing: HUGE ROBOTS GO BRRRRRRRR. Because as you can see, half of my favorites is mecha (AOT is basically flesh mecha so I count that one in too).

That is a really nice list! A majority of my favourites are in the top 20 (some are GOATS) but, there are some great shows after that. There are some shows I don't have on my to watch list that I probably should have on there too (notably Silver Spoon, Kyousou Giga and Bloom Into You)

What were your thoughts on MHA S4? I haven't watched it yet but, I'm up to date with the manga and I wanted to hear what you thought of the season.

Really nice favourite anime mosaic! Would there be a ranking after your top 20 or is it just an assortment of favourites unranked?
Standed Apr 2, 2:58 AM
Yeah, I'll come back if I ever feel like it.

Hmmmm, I think I'll give ToG a shot.
Standed Apr 1, 7:51 PM
Yep. Indefinitely.

Btw, how's Tower of God?

Runway at a 6 lmao!!! How you completed Taizai is behind me.

Oh I agree, anime is just a style tbh. Avatar is so inspired by the animation style of Japanese animation that I think it counts.

I don't really view Satsuki as an antagonist, mostly because the majority of her time in the show is as a protagonist and ally with Ryuuko. Plus I have bias and just think she's too sweet to be a villain. In case you haven't noticed I have a huge crush on Satsuki lmao.

No problem! I look forward to you making a protagonist mosaic too!

Great collage! It's interesting that you put Azula there considering how some don't view Avatar as an anime, I do though.

Have you thought about putting this collage on your main profile before?

Have you considered making mosaics for your favorite protagonists and antagonists? If so, who would you put on some of them?

Rakugo is excellent. It has planted itself somewhere in my top 15. A fantastically crafted, character-driven drama, with amazing character dynamics and interactions. I love the rustic and authentic atmosphere with Rakugo as an amazing backdrop. I really liked how Rakugo wasn't just a device to tell the story but, it was woven into the characters motivations, struggles and ideas. The themes of love and brotherhood are explored excellently and the characters that portray these themes are so multi-layered and interesting to watch. Raw, human and expressive just like Rakugo itself. Also, the voice acting is top-tier.

Standout characters would probably be Yakumo, Sukeroku and Miyokichi. Yakumo and Sukeroku in particular are excellent. Their struggles and triumphs in this decaying art form are emotional and real and their chemistry is great. They really bounce off each other and their characterization is amazing. Miyokichi is great too, acting as a foil to the main duo while also receiving development and interesting character moments. As for standout moments, basically all the Rakugo scenes are so well-crafted and serve the narrative and characters amazingly, the ending of S1, Sukeroku performing in front of Konatsu at the house, the hug scene after the war, Yotarou's first Rakugo sequence, basically the entire show (I'm cheating but, you understand, it's an awesome show).

What are your thoughts on it?

Awesome, thanks man 👍

Question for you my good sir: How are you playing Umineko? Did you download it or can it be bought somewhere? I was reading a little of the Manga but I think I'd prefer to experience the VN 🙂
