Hello MagicRaven, I love your anime list. Kimetsu no Yaiba and Enen no Shouboutai are some of my favorite Anime/Manga. You also like Captain Harlock? We have so much in common! I am waiting for these to get BluRay releases so I can add them to my big Anime and Manga collection, my room looks like a library its so jam-packed with anime and manga

I'll hit ya back on fb or pm sometime. For me, YLIA and Koe no Katachi kinda define what I'm looking for in anime. Yeah, I've seen tons of ecchi harems (I am male after all) but really, I'm looking for the experiences I got from those titles. At the moment I'm eating up Clannad. I've been thoroughly enjoying it. I bawled my eyes out at the wedding event (tryin to not spoil if you've not seen it, and yeah, I'm man enough to admit I get misty eyed!) A Lull in the Sea was a recent watch, and it was pretty amazing too, even with lessons about racism thrown in too. Catch ya round about, teach! (btw history was always my fav subject!)

Hey many thanks for the kind words about my reviews. I'm really quite the amateur at it, but I just love to discuss and contribute to the community, even if it's in my own limited way. I know what you mean bout the undeserved low scores. I have a good friend/mentor that is helping me find anime that fits my particular style (moving, emotional, or silly) yet even though he's got thousands of shows on his list his average score is in the 4's. I don't get that, if people dislike something why keep at it? I usually go in on all anime thinking I'm going to like it and then wait to be proven wrong. You know how it is, us Texans give people (things) the benefit of the doubt, usually, right?

You mentioned on your profile you're a former teacher? Might I ask what subject and grade level? My sister aspires to teach as well. I'm currently disabled, so no work for me, and very little money, but that's neither here nor there right? I also LOVE horses, I worked for several years as a teen on a reining training ranch. We taught all the horses to the the reining show tricks, and even trained a few at cow cutting. Was some of the best times of my life. Hauling hay all night, riding along the herd as the sun goes down, beautiful. Horses and dogs are blessings from God. Cats are well....cats LOL.

If you ever need some recommendations for tear jerker anime, I might be able to hook you up. I adore beautiful stories that can bring tears to my eyes. Even though I like the 'moving' anime, know that I'm a K-On fan for life lol. If you haven't seen my facebook page, basically all I do is series involving anime. I'm the weird uncle in my family! Great talking to you, hope you have a wonderful day!

Yeah, Koe no Katachi is one of my utter favorites, I keep a blu ray handy to show non anime people whenever the chance arises lol. I noticed on your profile you said you were a teacher? Mind if I ask what subject/grade level? My sister is working towards becoming a special ed teacher, slowly. Sad anime for me is nearly an addiction, if a show can make me cry, I'm in love. 'Your Lie in April' nearly killed me lol. Do you publish your short stories anywhere? I'd love to look over some sometime.

Romance is always good lol but naughty humor can work if done well. I don't blame you for 10'ing lots of stuff, because there are jerks that 2 or 3 rate good shows. I myself get harassment for my high overall rating average, so I feel your pain there. Thanks for reading my reviews, I'm really nothing, just some guy that likes to talk alot, and I try my best not to be an elitist about anything. Though I admit it makes me nervous to think people read my reviews, and for the life of me I can't figure out why...I did write them, I did post them, but don't look! LOL I'm an old one. Tell them critters hello for me, damn glad to have another Texan round my age group hereabouts. Have a great evening!

Right, knew there was something I was supposed to say, now I remember, you said you like sad anime? Then I cannot recommend more wholeheartedly Koe no Katachi, if you've not seen it. It deals in some heavy themes, and does have a very wonderful message about forgiveness but boy is it a tearjerker! Have a great day!
