hi , i have been off for some time, moving to another house and stuff, no internet for some weeks, but it goe's better now, and maybe i'm gonna start in a few weeks on the Black jack surgeon movie from the 90's wich i never paid attention to back then and the t.v show, and the newer movie from a while ago. i;ve seen a lot of anime since 1989 and its still not enough!!!

well, bubblegum crisis 2032 is the original, 2042 is the reboot from 1998 wich i really din´t like because the charachters were way to stereotypical.

I never liked giant robo that much honestly, i,ve seen cutie honey back in the 90's , i have all the Izcer serie's and gurren lagann on dvd, but i really want to add the captain taylor serie's and the 10 part ova to my collectyion on dvd. you really want to see Megazone 23 (1985-1989) bubblegum crisis 2032( 1987-1991) and the Gall force metaserie's ( 1986-1994) you are gonna love those miniserie's

area 88 had 2 releases, OVA 1,2,3 seperate on Videotape, later on there was a 2nd release wich 'bundeled' or rather was a compilation of OVA 1&2 together on dvd, and the 3rd has some of the extra stuff in there but a lot of important scene's where left out for some reason in both OVA 1&2.

another ova wich could hit it big in france back then is the 'City hunter 'franchise, 1987-1995. Jackie Chan played in a live action movie based on the ova's in i believe 1991.

try to watch 26 years of anime like me, u gonna be suprised what the decades brought.
in the netherlands the anime Ahiru no quack was very populair in 1989 because it was a collaboration between Japan and the Benelux, narrated by Herman van veen wich is also a old musician and artist. I remember the old cassette ( not VHS) wich had 2 episodes each to listen to, good times good times :), and Germany still todays airs some old anime serie;s like inuyasha and some steampunk anime.

you're right, even germany had better anime shows on t.v than the netherlands, the 1st anime ever aired here was back in 1982, the gatchaman series.I know in France itself that saint seiya and hokuto no ken were some of the 1st real populair shows there, next to dragon quest, same for south europe. and even though i watching anime since june 1989 i have to disagree that the french are the 2nd biggest anime lovers in the world , i would say the americans, the germans, the chinese ( hong kong territory) and the australians are also not far behind

ok, its just too bad that in the netherlands there were never really good anime serie's on t.v, i;ve heard that in france the broadcasting was way better with animeshows, like dragon quest and Captain Cobra ect. ect,
