wasn't able to capture the emotions from the original
(which was just amazing)

so in one sentence my review for this would be that
"it misses the mark set by its predecessor"

with all it's faults Pokémon: The First Movie - Mewtwo Strikes Back was one of the few movies i was able to enjoy even as a adult because it was a great nostalgia trip the summation of my childhood

in the case of this movie it's Absolutely soulless no emphasis was placed on improving the narrative they just added few useless extended scenes which only let the movie drag on and on with the ... 2nd half being slow and boring as hell

the CGI was ok or even in some scenes great with the pokemons and worked really abreast with pokemon moves and other stuff
but when it came to the human models it's just horrendous! terrible!, sigh
(i don't have the words forget it)
let's just say it's a little better then berserk "a llittle"

retrospectively speaking the Beautiful animation/CGI records set by pokemon franchise in the past reached the peak with Pokemon XY&Z and since then it's just going down and with this being released i think we are in the lowest it could be....

I would not recommend this movie just re-watch the original

i deleted my previous review and this is the new one

Re-watching this anime will not be the same after this episode...

1-10 episode it's-Pure Comedy

(has some great laugh out loud moments The humor, the facial expressions and the voice acting is glorious)

and then 11th episode airs and "Welcome to the dark side"
... ...Curse you onion ninja...

The anime at first look can be consider only a parody or average isekai has a deep backstory and actually explains why the character is so cautious with out spoiling anything i would say it's a solid watch

9/10 recommended

The hate this anime gets is undeserving in my opinion it's a politically complex anime with alliances, negotiations, revolts, death and conquering of lands. The Crest system was also pretty decent. the first 2 episodes are debatable in how well they manage to start a series or what impression they leave on the viewer but the rest of the series is just fabulous

The show build on its complexities with a slew of interesting characters mixed with decent animation and touches of love and war.

without spoiling much to explain this show i will say Grancrest Senki was a magnificent political drama that I enjoyed ... watching to the end. This anime poses deep ethical questions on the morality of decisions made by characters especially in the last episodes,

I've seen many of the reviews here are of the first 2-6 episodes or so. And simply put, these reviews are not fair.

it's a story that can involve political discourse, beautiful action and hope all in one! If you love high fantasy, Record of Grancrest War delivers in the best way.

An anime that ultimately tries too hard.

Some animes are those who hit you hard from the first episode to the last episode which have surprise factor constantly or something which holds your interest which keeps the enjoyment factor fresh and keeps the viewer interested
BUT !
In the case of elfen lied it's not so,
The first episode is a unbelievably awesome with all the gore extreme violence and needed nudity (in context of the situation) which gives the first episode a shock value but
after that it Tries way to hard to be dramatic but it's not the places where good gore could have taken the ... series to another level is destroyed by the poor execution and other then that it has just too much useless nudity after the first episode Elfen Lied never bothers to justify its sexuality
(except for one or two places) it just gets in the way of real plot progression and i think that is why there is so much nudity in here because the plot is very thin There are some moments giving a sense of 'what could have been', but those are always undermined by bad writing

I would say this series is Flawed but ultimately it is watchable if you don't think too much about the plot development and the sense behind the decisions made by the characters

First Episode to the Last, Entertainment All The Way!

This is how romance in animes should be dealt with a fresh breath from the saturated generic harem or melodramatic drama
A likable male protagonist who is kind hearted analytical merchant paired up with a female character who is wise, intelligent, funny and witty
The Most Important thing
guy character is not dense and girl character is not annoying

ROMANCE:
The romance is subtle and realistic.
The chemistry between Holo and Lawrence is amazing and believable.
... They know how to keep flirting realistic

Character development is superb and the interactions between the characters are a load of fun to watch It has some good theme of economic to keep it going and the romance really pulls some heartstrings
10/10 easily !!!

It's one of the few movies I have ever seen. The least I can say about it is that there was not a single moment during it that my attention wasn't completely focused.
hmm, how to explain it
Mystical. Enchanting. A view to another world
and the animation, The animation is stunning! The art work alone is worthy of the engulfment it's just outstanding piece of artwork
i will say it's not for everyone The older you are, the more you will love this movie...
as for me coming from a pakistani background the mystery background and japanese culture mixed in this movie was just completely new line into ... something even above 100% greatness in terms of extraordinary achievement of animation and Mystical plot progression
