@ what's in your bio, i think that lowering scores in retrospect is in a lot of cases pretty reasonable, because recency bias is definitely a thing (that is, watching something and thinking it's amazing because you just watched it) and i personally have definitely had cases before where i think a show is a 10 but then the show doesn't leave a lasting impact on me and i realize i didn't enjoy it as much as i thought i did.

that being said rewatching a show can really either make you realize that it wasn't as great as you thought or re-enforce the high rating you gave it (i've even had a couple cases where i liked a show more after rewatching) so it's not a bad idea. i don't rewatch shows much at this point because it makes me feel like i'm wasting time when i could be watching something new, but i've seen a lot less anime than you so it's more of a concern i guess
