Fellow Saniwa here. I just wanted to make this clear: just because it is an adaptation of a game, it doesn't mean it has to be shitty for newcomers who watches it without having played the game. Let me repeat: it shouldn't be necessary to play the game to enjoy the show. Don't try to pretend that the show delivers anything well.

I do not understand how this show is so entertaining for so many people so I'll try to reason my hatred for this show through this review and hopefully some people will try to change my view on this show.
Why do I absolutely despise this series? The answer is simple. The show is dumb. I don't mean it in a comedic sense where the comedy involves around over the top "dumb" humour. First noticeable flaws:
1)The characters are hard to relate to. 2)Their decision making skills are questionable. 3)The story is unorganized and immature. 4)This was probably intended for a younger audience than I first anticipated. Yeah the izayoi or whatever is strong and "cool" but there is no real depth to the guy and the show doesn't really give me a reason to really like this guy at all. As I can tell he's the "selling point" of this series and because I didn't think that he was cool or a good character, the series just came crumbling down. Also, yes Kurousagi is cute but ...

Although this anime had me cracking up like nobody's business at times, its flaws hard very hard to ignore.
As mentioned in previous reviews, the characters are nothing but archetypes that have no personality outside their gimmick and their personality is just purely focused on their interaction with other characters which are all annoying. Some of the characters are just plain annoying and hard to watch (like Seo) and some are just dumb to the point that you want to bash your head into a wall.
