Hello, There some Random Visitors.

Huss Feb 1, 2019 7:02 AM
Hello human. i have came in please. i apologies for coming in not invited to this holy place of yours. i have finish a show that ii really like. due to have few or not existing friends i needed people to talk about that show. i have went to the statistics page in the anime file in this site. i have noticed that you have completed the show relatively recently and you have a picture which means you care about your social status to some degree. i am a weird person. i am not an English native speaker. i am not an interesting individual. some think otherwise, but i do not think so, at least in terms ....ok i do not know what to say next so let us close on that. i like to discuss or at least share my appreciation of the show. i do not know how. every person is different and so not everyone is interested in talking the same way. luck is my only ally here. thanks and again i apologies. the show i am talking about is Uchuoten Kazoku, and in English it is called the eccentric family. have a good day. always drink water.

Cool, what games have you so far played untranslated? Maybe you ought to update your VNDB.
I just recently finished White Album 2, now playing Boku no Hitori Sensou.

Mostly the same for me. My backlog on finished shows just keeps getting bigger although I manage to watch 2-3 shows a season.
Watching anything this season?

Yo, how's it going?
MasterXionic Nov 15, 2014 6:39 PM
Hi how have you been? It has been a while since I've been on MAL.

Summer season was a bit disappointing, but Fall has so far been making up for it. Fate as expected has been great. Grisaia was a disappointment.

How has the JP learning been going? I just finished Baldr Sky and it was amazing.

I didn't get around to playing it because of problems connecting it with the text hooker. I'll postpone until I feel confident to read it without instant dictionary definitions.

I would especially recommend Ping Pong from Spring season. It blew all expectations out of the water and I can firmly give it a 9/10, although the art/animation department slightly lacks. 11 episodes long, Yuasa(Tatami Galaxy, Kaiba) as director.

A couple of good shows coming up in summer and Fall looks like it will be amazing. Almost 10 shows I want to watch in it.

I'll check that out. It may be useful for JP practice (downloading JP version).

I don't really know what you mean by optimize. If you mean change the appearence around to what you'd prefer, then yes I did. For Core 2000 you should at least stop the pictures from being displayed as they are useless.

I add 15 new Kanji cards a day and 30 new vocabulary cards a day. No limit to reviews. This is how I set my vocabulary cards using Epwing2Anki

Also a good place to ask beginner questions and what not would be the Daily Japanese Threads on /a/.
MasterXionic Jun 18, 2014 3:52 AM - these are the decks I currently have.
I didn't use a grammar deck, instead I read through this
Tae Kim is faster than Genki, a textbook that is classroom orientated.

Core 2000 is a good deck to start for your base vocabulary but eventually reading and mining words (Vocabulary with Sentences is mine) will take priority.
For starting VNs early, use the programs Interactive Text Hooker and Translation Aggregator with Jparser and Mecab. Links to where to download are in the pastebin I sent you.

Finally for Kanji I advise using that Joyo Kanji deck or just learning from vocabulary. Through these methods you'll be able to read any VN you want and the Sora no Kiseki trilogy in no time. Of course, after I've played them, huehuehue.
MasterXionic Jun 17, 2014 2:57 AM
Through the magic of Anki. After learning the Kana and a few hundred Kanji along with finishing Tae Kim I just dove into reading, starting with the easy yuri VN Hanahira. You should take a look at this - as it has a lot of useful resources that should hasten your learning.

I also intend to play the Sora no Kiseki trilogy. I already have the three games downloaded. They can be connected to ITH so you can get instant dictionary definitions.

For myself I've watched just Stardust Crusaders and Ping Pong, both of which are very good, especially Ping Pong. It was a great surprise and may end up being AOTY, although there is much to look forward to. For next summer for example I'm looking forward to Zankyou no Terror, Akame ga Kill, Space Dandy S2 and Aldnoah Zero.

I finished Majikoi. Boy, you don't know what you're missing out on. The final route, Agrave, was a fantastic conclusion to the main game. It had a fine story and a concrete central villain (whose identity I won't let on). Either hone your moonrunes or wait forever for Takajun to get off his ass and translate the rest of it. White Album 2 here I come!
MasterXionic Jun 7, 2014 5:32 PM
I decided to bite the bullet and descend into the labyrinth of the moonrunes. It took me about 3 months to get to the point to read my first moege relatively comfortably, and now I'm at 5 months ready to start playing the stuff I've wanted to play, which right now is Miyako's route in Majikoi. It's a lot of effort and time, but you should consider doing it too.

And what of you? What have you been doing in the time since we last spoke? What are your favorites from this season and expectations for the next?
