Shinyaku Ookami ga Kuru! (Formerly known as Ookami ga Kuru!) has been one of the few manga's that I've kept up with religiously, even though it was a long wait between chapters. After waiting for so long for it to be fully translated, it snuck up on me and was finished while I was in a hectic period in my life aha! Anyways, finally finishing this manga I feel incredibly satisfied, having enjoyed every single chapter up to the very end.
Story: While the story has been archaic in a sense at times, it always had the goal of figuring out what the vampires were doing

and what KIRCHE's purpose really was. It had great arch's, if a bit disconnected at times, but each arc was incredible. The setting of Germany was a breath of fresh air since most manga are set on some remote insane location or Japan. The German was also an interesting touch, making it feel more authentic to itself.
My only complaint would be Mr. Boss and Sirius' pasts were revealed incredibly rushed at the very end, clumped together with no real rhyme or reason. Their pasts were incredible, but horrible placement. Other than that, the story was solid, just some pacing and placement issues here and there.
Art: This is what got me to read this manga in the first place. I saw it on a reader site at a glance and the art style appealed to me greatly. After seeing the main protagnist whipping around two pistols like a total badass I was hooked. It also has a nice "olden" style to it that you don't see very often and it is done very well.
Character: I liked the characters a lot with this series. Sirius was my ideal protagnist, not over powered yet powerful enough to keep growing through out the series. His adaptability was his main strength and that really appealed to me as a reader. Mr. Boss was a good partner/boss for Sirius, keeping him in line and helping him through troublesome situations. Beate, while being abducted every dang arc, was a pretty good heroine, she was likeable, quirky and a rather unique air in the fact she was crazy about occult, but not the bad kind of crazy that is trying to perform demon rituals at midnight in their bedroom under the bed. The villans/adversaries were rather well written, if a little short lived since it was mainly arcs the entire story, but they were developed enough to feel their motivations or drives that caused them to be the "villan".
Enjoyment: I had a blast, really simple actually aha. I enjoyed this manga from the beginning to the end and I finished it with no regrets other than I'll miss Sirius and his badassery.
Overall: As I said, great manga, not perfect, but fun enough to read, especially since its actually fully translated! The characters are fun, the art is rather unique, and the story is alright in its own right.

Updated to Final Episode.
I personally had this anime recommended to me by a friend, saying I might like it. (He had read the novels I believe.) So I came into this show knowing nothing at all since I had decided not to try to get any background on it to be unbiased about it.
I was reasonably surprised by how good I actually found it to be.
Story:
Personally I normally don't like dark atmosphere anime, yet this one does it in a way that I wanted to keep watching since it kept pulling me in to want to know more about the story and these Phantom
...
Books.
Ok, after episode two I find myself mildly lost. At first I thought that the Phantom Books were going to be a tool of destruction in the hands of people who could not control them. But if I understood correctly Huey used two in the episode as weapons. Guess they can be used as tools in the right hands.
With that said, the story feels a little rushed since there isn't continuity between the two episodes, so it looks like theres an overall theme, but different scenarios that don't continue on. Hopefully this doesn't persist and they take sometime to explain some more concepts or the anime is going to suffer with confusing concepts and butchered story telling.
Well, they never slowed down one bit the entire anime, they just kept on chugging by without taking the time to explain concepts. They decided to go on an episodic route, which I had hoped they wouldn't, since a good linear story would probably have made more sense for this series. But I still liked each episode for what it put out, each being interesting and unique in its own way. The finale was especially well done, making up for some of the confusion along the way.
Art:
Very neat realistic backgrounds. Pretty well designed cars and items from the time period the anime is set in. The backgrounds never cease to amaze me in this anime, they are extrordinarly well done, it looks very realistic for an anime that's for sure. The character designs go well with the backgrounds and settings. Huey has a nice design, and so does Dalian. Not much else to say about it.
Sound:
The background music so far is very appropriate to the scenes it is used in. It doesn't seem out of place and just fits with the anime in general. With episode two I saw the opening, they did use it in episode one, but without the opening sequence. I think the opening is very appropriate for the anime, it goes with its theme of being a dark mysterious anime, which the opening reflects with its mellow somber tune. I stand by my perspective of episode one; the ending... IS strange, the music was creepy and the video is just really really creepy, I didn't particularly like it one bit. So for me the opening and background music is appealing, very appealing.
Character:
Huey's character seems likeable to me. Seems like the kind of person that has an interesting past to say the least. Also seems to be well rounded, such as his knowledge with books and firearms, and piloting experience as well. Dalian, was enigmatic to say the least. She seems to be the kind of character you will learn more about slowly as the plot progress, but from what I've seen so far she is somewhat reserved and was brought up in a somewhat pampered state. I mainly say this because of the manner she bosses Huey around and her posture she witholds the air of someone that had been pampered or sheltered.
Enjoyment:
I oddly enjoyed the first episode much to my surprise. At first I had thought that I might be a bit bored since this isn't typically a type of anime I would try. But I said what the heck and watched the first episode. This was a decision I do not regret since I am already hooked on the story, and want to know more about it. And I honestly enjoyed the comedy between Huey and Dalian in each episode since it is played out nicely and just works into character development well.
Overall, I am mighty pleased that I picked up this show since it looks quite promising, I'm hoping that it doesn't disappoint me somewhere along the way. If the story picks up and pieces together some loose plot holes I still think this anime will be a fantastic watch. Sadly it didn't fill up every plot hole along the way, with certain things remaining murky. This seemed like the kind of anime that needed another 12 episodes to round itself off into what it could be. Hopefully a season 2 comes out to explain the loose ends, and instead of being episode by episode they chain it together into something that flows better.

Fully Updated to Final Episode.
Going into Mayo Chiki! I thought I was gonna get a generic anime with some ecchi sprinkled on top. I regret that train of thought completely. Its not a generic anime with ecchi sprinkled on top, its an anime with AMAZINGLY placed ecchi and hilarity combined with a decent story and great characters!
Story:
The story is heading in a way that Jirou and Subaru's friendship keeps growing with each passing episode, with events bringing them closer together. It also looks like Subaru and Kanade's friendship will be slowly restored to what it once was before an incident in their past. It

also keeps that comedic aspect with Kureha's love for Subaru and Kanade causing great misunderstandings that cause Jirou hell every episode. This never stopped even til the very end, with the final episode just being a cluster of misunderstandings and perversion. It went out with a bang!
Art:
It's pleasing to the eyes, the colors are vivid, the characters are well designed, with a wide array of different character styles being used, from kiddy designs (Jiriou's tomboy sister) to mature cosplay (The catgirl cosplayer in episode one).
Sound:
I found the Opening and Ending themes to be quite appealing to listen to. They aren't amazing amazing, but they are still really nice and go really well with the anime and the opening and ending sequences respectively. With each passing episode I seem to love the music more.
Character:
Jirou is that cool geek guy you get every once in a while. The man with Gynophobia due to... family problems. That... surprised me to say the least, and sadly for him he's been labeled as gay to to his gynopobia. That alone made me like his character since normally the guys are either accidental pervs or are no balled men that can't stand up to girls. Jirou is none of that, he likes his women! He just fears for his life due to his family! Totally waiting to see if he can get over his fear of girls in some way. By the looks of things, his gynophobia is going to stay for quite sometime at the rate things are going. Not that I mind, its hilarious to see.
Subaru is the trap butler that never gets old. But, Subaru... is absurdly cute. Having to be such a serious butler for Kanade and then able to go into an extremely girl state amuses me to no end! Her affection of sheep is adorable as well! From the first episode I thought she might have no weaknesses, but gravely mistaken as in episode 3 a childhood fear is revealed, making her more likeable since she isn't "invincible".
Kanade seemed innocent at first, which I was like "Sure ok, every anime needs the innocent Ojou-Sama". I was naive, There is nothing innocent in that woman. At all. I won't spoil anything, go watch the first episode to understand why I say such things. I said this all before episode three. She does have her kind side of course, since she does care for Subaru and the others as shown this episode. But.. She's still pretty darn evil when she has nothing better to do!
Kureha is that insanely strong tomboy you see once in a blue moon. She is insanely strong, having fought a bear on equal footing, only breaking an arm in the process. She also has one hell of a variety of wrestling moves. I was in love!
Usami is your general Tsundere gone DereDere by the end. She also has that Kureha charm with her insane strength. Plus, I damn found her cute as hell! I fell for Usami hard, loved her the entire series!
Nakaru is the cosplaying Boys Love loving lunatic. She's pretty insane, with her intense love for boys love. But, the final episode showed me a side of her that made me go "AWWW... AWWWW!" It was pretty fantastic.
Enjoyment:
I might dare say this is my favorite comedy of the summer. I dare say it was actually. I have enjoyed every single episode of Mayo Chiki! I have been laughing at Jirou's poor state. Kanade giving him a hard time (Chicken-kun~), Subaru knocking him into a figurative coma. His sister beating down on him. Dear lord, he was abused wasn't he! (All the more fun for me!)
Overall, I'm totally going to keep watching this to see where it goes and how funny it can get. Hopefully we'll get some more backstory on Jirou since there are some things I'm curious about his past.

Updated up to the Final Episode!
Baka to Test to Shokanjuu Ni! where to start... Haha. After I saw the first season when it came out I was left wanting more. What with the unique battle system they have in the series and the amazingly hilarious cast of characters, I totally wanted another season, and here my prayers were answered with another season of Baka!
Story:
Not really sure how to describe the story, there is a story behind it all, its just overshadowed by the fact that the anime is hilarious at every turn. Its not the main drive for the anime, the characters interactions and hilarity

drive the show. This season actually did have more story elements in it than the last though, and it was pretty well written, becoming quite emotional at some points as we learn about how Minami falls for Aki and how Shouko fell for Yuuji.
Art:
I love the character designs in Baka, especially since they are able to make a wonderful mix of amazingly cute chibis to MEGA SERIOUS FACE transitions superbly. The chibis are used during discussions between the characters at some points and of course during summon battles where their summons are actually the characters themselves chibi-fied and armored. This season also threw in one last artistic win with the final two episodes changing the summons into a Halloween-esc theme, with the summons ranging from headless to vampires to brick walls!
Sound:
I didn't really like the Opening and Ending for this one. Compared to Season 1 and the OVA Opening and Endings this was subpar at best. They aren't catchy or memorable like the others and you can't really say, "Oh my god, another musical ear worm from Baka!". Though as the season went on the OP and ED did become an earworm to be honest. I guess it was the kind of music you had to listen over and over to to become addicted, not sure if its a good or bad thing. The soundtracks in the background were also fantastic, especially in the episode about Minami's past.
Character:
I love the characters. They have a little bit of everything in this anime! Aki is the idiot that all animes need (He might just be a little to idiotic sometimes). But when push comes to shove he always come through like a true anime idiot does! Yuuji is the total badarse of the anime, with the epic character design and attitude to go with him. Mutsurini... I love Mutsurini, he is an idol to all men everywhere, he's a ninja, photographer and somehow he's a pervert that girls don't hate. I want him to teach me his ways. Hideyoshi the trap... He never gets old, right from the get go they still won't let him be a boy, and honestly, it never gets old. Then the girls themselves are amazing as well. Minami is amazing with her tough attitude and abuse of Aki. Himeji is the shy girl that turns into an evil demon when things go wrong (evidence = end of episode one). Shoko.... She terrifies me with how she abuses Yuuji, honestly, I think she could kill us all. I love it.
Enjoyment:
Well if it isn't obvious yet I love Baka to Test to Shokanjuu Ni!. The second season is everything I wanted it to be, with its hilarity, serious moments, cross dressing, and idiocy! What more could I ask for? (Maybe some moar Mutsurini awesomeness... The show might implode if we get too much though. I thought it was going to implode, freaking assassination's he pulled this season were epic!)
Overall, I'm sittin' here waiting for more episodes because honestly, nothing will stop me from watching this amazingly hilarious anime that is Baka to Test!

Updated up to the final episode.
Having just finished R-15 completely, something I had doubts about since it was so perverted to the very end, I have to say I was pleased that it was enjoyable. The concept of "Genius" Porno Writer was able to carry its weight, never being censored in the slightest the entire series, his delusions and fantasies top notch the entire ride.
Story:
At first I thought this was just going to be random comedic absurdity, but after seeing episode two there might just be a story behind it all. With the protagnist possibly on a journey of self discovery. Then again
...
it might be that he is just misunderstood by everyone. You know its as they say, they don't realize a writers true potential during the time he's alive. It ended up leading Taketo through a journey of self RE-discovery, as he reinforced what he is, a porno writer. Through the series he often hit stumps that made his writing turn out less than it could be, but every time some form of inspiration or discovery made him continue on the path of a porno writer.
Art:
Personally I love the art, the color is appealing, it looks pretty fluid to me as well. Everything is pretty well drawn as well, considering there are so many different elements mixing, such as robots, photography, musical instruments, sports, etc. The girls are especially well designed, they just scream cuteness! And to the end the art pleased me, they had no issue with drawing nude bodies (censored but nude) the entire series. Gotta hand it to a company that can produce the lewder subjects in anime.
Sound:
The Opening and Ending are nothing out of the ordinary. The opening can be a little catchy after listening to it a few times I guess, same with the ending. If I had to pick I like the ending song a bit more since the jingle does stick with you more. The second episode also had some music sung by the Genius Idol, and I found that enjoyable to listen to at least. Also the clairnet tune that's been played by Fukune is nice and somber. Though I have to admit the final episode blew my mind by the song that Taketo and the genius composer made, mainly due to Taketo's hella amazing lyrics. (Trust me, they were damn amazing.)
Character:
The characters were pretty standard in a sense they featured some of the common archtypes, but having each be a genius in a certain area in an ecchi comedy anime, shit did hit the fan at times. With Taketo our genius porno writer as the protagnist, it would be hard to say "Oh he's pretty standard." Fukune I guess would fall under the shy naive archtype. Utae would fall under the idol archtype as well, but with how bold she was able to be and direct you get some fairly fantastic surprises later on. The photographer genius was ... demented I guess, she had a fetish for taking pictures of "bad" things as she put it once, the ugliness of humanity, don't think I've seen a character that obsessed with that before. And the other girls, well it would make this review very long if I went on about every character.
Enjoyment:
I'll be honest, this is pretty much an anime you watch with little expectation and just go along for the ride. Its perverted, hilarious and makes little sense (I mean seriously, a genius porno writer?). But, hey, this type of anime is needed once in a while just to enjoy and laugh at. And here at the end of watching this anime, I standby what I've said, you gotta watch this for the laughs and expect nothing to happen, otherwise you're going to ask yourself "Why the eff am I watching this absurdity?!" or "Why am I.. Oh right the boobies."
Overall, I'll keep watching just to take in more laughs and see if the story really does end up having some form of moral with the protagnist. (It did by the way.)
